The fire extinguisher is automatic and pressing the button after a detection doesn't do anything. You can still fire the bottle manually without a detection. Unlike in other aircraft the fire extinguisher doesn't cut off any flameable liquids. You need to pull the cutoff valves. If the first charge does not extinguish the fire you need to close the fuel cutoff valve and switch the extinguisher to manual and then press the fire extinguisher again to fire the second bottle.

VRS needs 3 conditions to be met before it occurs, one is power, if your engines are out and you auto rotate you cant enter a VRS.

You told it wrong a little bit. The topleft button determins how many discharges you will have on either selected side. The button below that determins how many flares will fire with each discharge. Not how often it will repeat. The topright will determin the interval between the discharges.

Hey man! Really enjoyed your video. I'm having a lot of issues perfecting the autorotation, how much collective do you usually use, and how high do you flair?

I really should do a dedicated autorotation vid to make those points more clear. How much collective? Zero or near zero for most of the descent. If the yaw becomes hard to control, a little collective can help, but you really don't want to spend that energy if you don't have to. When to flare? Probably something like 20-30m, but I usually just eyeball it. I ease the collective up, going from zero to max in the space of 1.0-1.5 seconds. I usually top out when I'm a tad high, and drop 2-3m straight down, but the suspension can handle a drop that short. Might roll over, but won't explode.

@@Viking355th Hahaha, thanks! I think I was able to reliably get to a point where I wouldn't blow up, but found it impossible not to break something. Though, in fairness, that would probably not be a problem considering the context where I would be usually autorotating in DCS, haha. I'll probably lower my weight a bit and try going up, thanks for the tips again!
