This man is 50 and keeps getting better at his craft. Insanely inspirational. Never stop learning. Never stop studying and bettering yourself. I can't wait to hear what he's doing when he's 80.
@@moussegarbonzo8352 I don't know if "doc" is intended as somewhat of a sarcastic insult, but I certainly don't take it as such, and either way you're most welcome. Besides, I bet that secretly you're glad you know that little fact now and consider yourself better off for it, even if you won't admit it. Knowledge is cool and so is sharing it - let's not kid ourselves otherwise.
@@craigr4763 It was meant sarcastically, but not necessarily as an insult. You are a bizarre person who is taking my comments way too seriously. It's RU-vid. Lighten up. I'm aware of cognitive decline. I'm damn near 50 myself and dementia runs in my family. Go play doctor with somebody else. I came here to enjoy Ka's new video and show appreciation for his craft with my comment. You're a buzzkill.
In a time where music/hip hop is all about “get your bag no matter what” Ka did what he wanted to do. He never compromised for money or clout. Ka stood for something. He is someone anyone can look up to. Rest in peace, Ka.
sonically, my favorite ka song. and dude just drops my jaw with the writing like usual. thank you for everything you have done while physically here, but your energy will stay forever
This man’s work ethic is unbelievable, two projects!? I’ll be buying BOTH vinyls… can’t believe we’ve been blessed with AOTY level projects from Billy woods, Elucid & KA just to name a few. What an amazing year for music!
Indeed it is a great year for music and still more to come from Freddie Gibbs, Boldy James, Killah Priest, and so many more great artists! I am hoping for another Navy Blue album to drop sometime soon as well.
I'm definitely about to go buy this album immediately as I have been waiting for this and I am so glad he does a yearly release. I swear Ka needs an honorary Grammy just for all the work he has put in.
@@jaythirt2039 Indeed, but they will never give him a Grammy for album of the year just like they never gave Jackie Chan and Oscar for any of the work he had put in until he got old and they gave him an honorary Oscar. I guess in the end these Awards don't really mean anything but I just wish he got more recognition because he makes some of the most consistently great art.
PLEASE Recommend this to as many hip-hop related reaction channels, Ka is too humble to promote himself and I'm sad to see him left out in the GOAT lyricist convo because he is hip-hop's "best kept secret" For the work he's done lyrically I think it's a fair trade to expose new people to his pen and bring him to those conversations ourselves
I'm so fucking excited man, Ka is incredible. I bought A Martyr's Reward last year but had some trouble with downloading it, so I thought fuck it and asked Ka about it thru dm. Replied mad fast and helped me sort everything out whilst showing love to me for buying his stuff. Such a genuine dude, will support every last thing he drops
My man KA looking more grizzled and wise with the years. Still bumping the entire discography as long as he keep dropping deep cuts, peace from Australia
Peace to KA. He never gave up and always stayed true to his own style. Did it pay off?... Fuck yeah. best lyricism … my Major influence and inspied his flow & delivery, I feel like it’s a quiet rage. Everything he says is super passionate, I really feel it. It’s not just lyrics. he offering an unusually calm, level-headed insight into a tumultuous world. THANKS BOSS
The return of the greatest to ever do it, period. I swear one day his work will be enshrine in the Smithsonian and will be studied in college courses for decades to come. Peace Akhi
Ka my brother, i don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I’m an aspiring filmmaker and I really believe your story is the one young artists need to hear. You inspire me with your work and your life. I hope to walk in your footsteps some day. I hope I can elevate my work and work ethic to your level someday. And I pray that one day I become as eloquent at sharing stories through art as you are. Your my guy and one of my heroes man, I hope we cross paths one day, and that my work makes you proud.
Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Having digested the new Ka projects, theyre the best rap albums to be released since the last Ka album. As usual.
...smh he really is in a league of his own. Whenever I first hear and see one of his music videos, it's such a vibe that I have to watch and listen again and again just to begin to comprehend. I remember the line from "cold facts" - " I own the night, The heat's my receipt"... so Ill legit🤘🏾😤🤘🏾
yohh - 1000. "judge me too quick, mistake me as a heathen because i had tools, moved weight, and was thievin but i was broke out the gate, i was grievin had a cold heart cuz my apartment was freezin studied this 30 years so you could say it's mastered thorough nigga, it's in my nucleic acid" ka's incredible with the art.
The grandmaster is back! I have been anticipating this with great excitement. This man right here is GOATED and I have been inspired by his music more so than anyone else's.
@@ninjasrose1653 For real! Bro it's so crazy how I just was listening to a martyr's reward for like the 10th time yesterday and then he came out 2 whole albums today! I'm really going to be eating good this month with both of my favorite artists coming out with albums this month; Ka and Freddie Gibbs. Scratch that, three; the third being Killah Priest!
@@Fineartz770 Ka is the only artist I buy the album of day one before it's even officially in the system. I always have faith in his music being good because he has yet to make a whack album. I really don't even think it's possible at this point.
🙌🙌🙌it does not get much better than this man...lyrically well beyond anyone in todays scene and maybe even 10 years from now. Blessed today Ka dropped some knowledge
No other MC commands my immediate and absolute focus like KA. How I'm only just finding out he dropped two albums ins Sep gone is beyond me, I've got some catching up to do.
KA might be the nicest wordsmith ever! and with his penmanship and writing as a whole!!! Absolute poetry!!! Motion Pictures!!!!💯💯💯💯🙌🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏✊✊✊✊❤🔥❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Profound work as per usual… Been listening to Ka for some years now. His music is always layered with gems that make it hard to fully digest without giving it a number of listens. With each playback I catch something that I didn’t the 1st time around.. which takes me back to the old days in the 90’s playing music on cassettes that were stuffed with toilet tissue at the top.. back then I would listen to Das efx with the Walkman batteries close to dead just so their words would slow down so I could fully understand what they were saying. Coming out of Brownsville Brooklyn where we truly had to be innovative out of necessity I have a deep appreciation for timeless music like this.. this music ain’t come out the microwave! On another level I came out a household were moms was the bright, sunny social one. Pops was a man of few words, when he did speak most of the time Jazz was the background music. This is the matrix that created the man I am today. I could write a book in this post so I’ll stop here, but I definitely get it. Dope! Keep the heat coming my good brother!!!
Ka is on the Mount Rushmore of Rap for me. He really changed how I look at the art form and proved that you can really make your own lane. There will never be another. I will miss looking forward to his surprise drops! Thank you Ka! 🙏🏿🫡🕊️💎
