i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me
@Malik Zain Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I sharpened mine on both sides like a bayonet so it will cut coming and going. When I had knife fighting in the military with the bayonet we were instructed to go for the fatal cut immediately upon drawing whether it's a jab or a slice in close quarters. Throat cuts to esophagus or to the eyes are very effective. Do not hesitate, do it.
In some states it's illegal to owner a dagger (two sided blade). I would suggest you check the law before making that mod. But I do like the idea. Also FYI: The TDI is made one-sided to prevent it's user from self injury if they pulled the blade back across their body for some reason. There is no way to cut yourself with the blade used unaltered.
I have this knife and love it. Carried it as an LEO for years. I have 3 sheaths. 2 of the original style with belt slots. KaBar sent the second one for free so I could carry either side without changing mounting over every time. I just received the sheath you describe with the metal clip. Also came free from KaBar for the asking! Great Knife and fantastic customer service from KaBar!
Your reviews are awesome! You cover the important stuff without repeating yourself, and you speak clearly and at a rate that is easy to understand. Keep it up! (:
I never thought to carry a knife like that but watching you handle it made me like it. It looked more natural to fight with than a straight blade knife. Good video, thank you for posting it.
Great review ! I own one for self-defense and as a disabled person, it is easier to deploy than my assisted folders... I was happy to hear that the holder can be used without a belt since I use suspenders... I am also checking to see if I could "pocket deploy" it, by clipping the sheath to the inside of my front pant pocket as an alternative...
Thanks for posting this, I am waiting for my Philster to show up at my door. I have the same feelings about the original holster, and I came to the same choice you did.
Refreshing to see a woman reviewing a knife not because some company decides it increases view counts but because she's actually interested in it and knowledgeable.
that has to be the best review id ever seen on a knife. you showed the knife and also carry and why. now im surfing on Amazon to get one of these. thank you
These knives are good for the money, If you prefer one made here in the US they do offer them for you guessed it a lot more of that cash, The new sheath you have is way better and I might just have to go get me one. If you like this knife might I suggest the Spyderco Street beat! its a smaller but very aggressive EDC knife that is so tuckable and light I strap mine on when I run in gym shorts and I cant feel it . a perfect knife for this type of deep concealed carry. Plus its a US company and the majority of the knives come from Colorado or Japan . great videos , and great gear!
Their might be those that frown on my lowly solution. Certainly no offense meant. I cut the standard sheath to allow clearance for the finger groove. Then thru away the straps, screws and clip. -Now comes the under engineered solution to keeping the sheath from moving around. I returned from my local 'Dollar' store with some rubbery non skid tape. Applying a nice pattern wih the tape took about two minutes. Putting the sheath either inside my belt or inside my waist band feels as if I'd cemented it in place. Without loosening my belt, the sheath will not move. No straps, no screws, no clips and no problems other than being out an additional dollar. Sincerest Regards,
I wear athletic pants most of the time and the TDI original sheath clip has never failed and gave way. But if I have on a tactical belt then the sheath goes behind the belt but in front of my pants waistband.
Great review! I like this knife. During stress when your fine motor skills drop, and muscular tremor starts messing your body up, you need a simple defensive tool!
Thanx - good review - I was considering a Cold Steel Urban Pal and saw this on Amazon...I'd seen this knife previously, but couldn't remember where I saw it or what it was called...glad I found this here - ...I have a weakness on my LHS due to a 2002 stroke and like this formy weak hand side - more control from a hand that doesn't cooperate with its owner very much...
Another great video ,thanks ! I used to think of KA-BAR knives as made in the USA until I recently learned that some of their knives are not , dam shame.
Happy good Friday to you, so how do you use this knife with the holster set up if you do not wear a belt with your shorts or pants? Have an amazing Easter and I have always enjoyed your videos thank you for being awesome
Great review. I had issues with the included sheath as well and actually had the knife come out one time when I was getting out of my car (I wear it behind my hip). I have since gotten a Kydex sheath from NSR Tactical which so far I prefer (much better retention and also thinner).
Great review! Benchmade makes the HK Plan D which is similar to the TDI except that it's made in the USA. The sheath is similar to the oem TDI sheath so it definitely needs upgrading.
In my state, it is illegal to carry a fixed blade knife concealed. We have to carry fixed blade knives open carry to be legal. Where do you live that it is legal to carry this knife concealed? Do you have some type license that allows you to carry it concealed?
Very nice knife! Doesn't seem to be GREAT if you want to use it in offense, but a really nice little knife in defense to remind a hostile that they can bleed.
Thanks! No I don't tend to buy larger pants to accommodate my gun. My normal pants work - They are slightly loose without my gun and then perfectly fitted with my gun.
L.E. stands for Law Enforcement. Most every cop carries a knife of some sort. Spyderco was very popular for a long time with LEOs. This is a nice knife. Great video, you must admit...
Hi falia, i just wanted to know what that type of belt is called. It reminds me of a harness system at some amusement park rides. Id like to know if i could find one in black
BigBlueMSP I was wondering about that since I live in Michigan. I was just talking to my wife about the knife law in our state so now I can ask you this. Does the Michigan law regarding the length of a folding blade knife only pertain to felon or a felony intent to break the law while carrying a knife longer than 3 inches; or does it apply to anyone who carries a folding knife longer than 3 inches? an also explain if you would the law on the "assisted" blade knife.
hello, I talked a police officer once and he said that owning the knife is legal but you can't carry it on you. If its a folding one that is legal to carry. Its a loop hole I guess. anyway its what I heard. michigan gov has some info on knife laws if you want to check it out.
I carry mine inside the belt, but outside the pants. Since it doesn't extend down like a gun in a holster, I don't think inside the waist band buys much concealment. Just like I see that you do.
djturnz IWB so your cover/t-shirt doesn't get stuck during one-handed draw of your gun (I carry appendix), this is the reason I am loking into the TDI Ka-Bar
Knife law in MI from knifeup(dot)com: "Michigan’s laws are not that confusing, it just requires some investigation and analysis. In Michigan, you can own any knife you want as long as it is not an automatic knife. You can also open carry any knife you want. The only limits to concealed carry is that you must not use the knife to harm others and that you can not carry a stabbing knife like a dirk or stiletto."
I have one of these knives...but later found a much better one. Look at the Tops scorpion tail karambit. Having both sides sharpened to allow for back slashes, as well as forward slashes and puncture jabs. I'm going to look into that sheath you have there though...it's much better than the one that comes with the blade. Take care.
Love the TDI knife, the clip the sheath comes with definitely sucks. I will probably try to modify mine somehow first before I spend the money on a new sheath. Great vid Falia:)
My understanding was the knife was to be worn on your weak side. If someone is going for your gun a lot will be going on on your strong side as you fight to keep your firearm. Your weak side will be much easier to get to and easy to grab and deploy the knife
