Happy rolling with my Weped FF. It has power range and portability (the holy trinity). Cons are price and water resistance it uses fans to cool the controllers
@@terrelbrown3216 I ran out of juice the other day my wife picked me up in her 2018 civic and I folded the stem and then put the front wheel in First and rolled it in and then just angled it slightly so o could shut the door I did it by myself in about 1 minute.
Just got mine in today. Thank you guys for videos like this. I’m in my 40s , this is the first time Ive ever had something like this and its awesome. Midlife crisis isn’t too bad as long as I don’t spill. With the off-road tires its not the most comfortable on pavement but ton grass its a dream.
I received my Wolf King from Voro a few days ago. It took about 3 weeks from when I put a deposit on a pre-order reservation to receiving it. This is my first scooter and I was very impressed with how stable it felt. I really appreciate how you can set the power levels lower as I learn to ride it. I'm looking forward to taking it on trails as my skills improve. Great video review!
Glad to hear this is your first scooter as I’m in the same situation. It will be my first scooter. Good to know that the settings could be changes enough for a new scooter rider. 👍👍
Glad to hear I’m not the only one looking at buying one , but do you think I’m nuts being 61 years old wanting one, I want something that is dirt worthy and climb a steep grade.
@@jamesyurky3048 Trust me if you decide to get it you wont be dissapointed. I live in the Catskill Mountains and this scooter eats hills for breakfast and is very good off road. I wear full face helmet and knee pads and elbow pads your not nuts no have fun but this scooter has a lot of power and be mindful of the throttle trigger its sensitive to say the least.
Chuck n team killed it again! The King is nuts, the sturdiness of a stem at high speed is paramount. Would be cool if deck to stem was 40ish inches. Would love to see a review of the Wolf Warrior X soon. That may be the dual motor for me.
We would love to review as many 72V scooters as we can get our hands on. They're a little more difficult to get our hands on than some others because of their prices and sometimes shipping weights. My understanding is that the 11X arrives on a pallet! -Paul
Thanks and congratulations on another exceptional review, ESG! Any updates on when we can expect to see something from you guys on the new Phantom? I was thinking Apollo was sending you an early model to test... or did I just imagine that? Keep up the fantastic service you provide for our community!
One of the best scooter reviews i've seen on youtube, covered everything for a good introduction. Tempted to get one of these but a bit reluctant with UK laws wanting to impound! Not so bad if it happens to the m365 but using it off road means it spends more time in bits than being used!
Good point! When they impound them, can you get them back? Or do they keep them? Fingers crossed that things change in the UK sooner rather than later. There seems to be so much public support for scooter use. -Paul
Impressive as heck but I'd ultimately vhoose range over ridiculous speed, 70+ kph is already scary fast. Maybe a 12 or 13" tire upgrade? Replace the lock mechanism chain on this with a steel or kevlar cord, good to go!😁
I think you would find that the King and the Warrior would have similiar range distances if driven at the same speeds. When they range test these they drive them within the capabilities of the sccoter. The King was driven at faster speeds overall than the Warrior.
@@twinturbo331 King was ridden at 20.1 mph vs Warrior at 18.1 mph, but those are the speeds where the scooters felt best, and the speeds we think users would use if they were doing a city commute. The big difference is that the WW was the only scooter where a dual motor range test was run single motor. We mention this in the original Wolf Warrior review, but that was a while ago. -Paul
The biggest rival to the wolf is the Zero 11x (and now VSETT 11+), but these scooters are ignored in the review and instead its compared it to a 10" scooter that is not in the same class...
@@twinturbo331 The Zero 11x has been around for almost 2 years and they have ignored it and even reviewed scooters that cost more than it. The way they talk about this scooter makes it sound like its the best that there is in many ways when really its just the best they have reviewed in many ways yet other scooters they ignore would surpass it. Its like they are deciding what scooters are important by what they review, so why are some very popular scooters totally ignored?
We have tried multiple times to get an 11x to no success. You can even view some of those attempts on past episodes of this very live show. Our reviews and comparisons are based on hands on data and testing so if we don’t have a scooter (which is the case with many brands) how can we include it in a review?
@@YourAubsome I can tell you the zero 11x is not as good as the wolf king. Outdated switches cheap throttle very unresponsive and it ways more it might be faster then the king I'm not sure but I own the king and if you need more performance then this scooter offers I would recommend a Subaru wrx don't get me started on the v sett and the charing ports on top of the deck the worst spot possible
I live in the Catskill Mountains and own this scooter and trust me its got so much range you wont know what to do with it. Your legs will get soar before you run out of juice. I ride it fast as I can all settings to max and this thing eats hills for breakfast I usually get about 2 hours of riding at traffic lights this scooter pulls away from cars. Im 180lbs and get it up to 47 on the flats with 30 degree temps and 49mph slightly downhill. If you need more range then I would recommend a Subaru wrx
I wish I could justify a purchase like this. What a fun-looking ride. Still wished that they sized the tires up to 12" though; definitely would've solidified it as the All Terrain king
It seems to be one of the best if not the best. I know the Rion can go faster and is lighter, but that has to be tested by you guys. 😁 I'm waiting for the Emove Roadster, it's supposed to have at least 50 mph and the range of the Cruiser (100 km/62 miles). I could take a little less speed for more range. And hopefully a scooter under 100 lbs.
Me too. Even if I'm not trained like you are on these high-speed devices! lol There's a video by Kramtoo where he keeps saying the acceleration is monstrous, demonic etc ! He's rolling around at about 30 km/h and if he pushes that throttle a bit - bam! He's off like a rocket. Sounds fun. :D
more beast scooters please!!! theres so many out there apollo ultra / zero 11x / turbowheel phaeton dualtron ultra 2, dualtron storm weped ss maybe even a rion if possible!!!
The Rion is not great, one drop of water that gets in the panels and the whole thing won’t work. Because the battery is not water resistant at all. It’s crap. And for 6,800 dollars plus 500 dollar shipping and 2 months to wait. It’s a piece of junk
@@augustmoreno869 the rion is the best scooter out there period. its got a huge achilese heal with the lack of water resistance but it is by far the best scooter for almost every other measurable aspect. u dont understand the industry or engineering as a whole at all if u think the rion scooters are not good.
I think this should be called the King Ludo! You mention the "over $3000 market". How about a comparison to what is in my mind the king (ha) of over $3,000 scooters... the Dualtron Thunder!
great video! I have a comment about (and questions ) the King. when it is in dusl motor I find the throttle nearly impossible to control. starting out I always get too much power even with p settings at lowest such as acceleraton at low and torque to 50%. Can you recommend a scooter with power but better throttle control im 56 and the King is, to me reciculous to try to control unless im in single motor mode. Is the Victor or any other voro powerful fun I can control at low speeds without going to one motor mode (I hated Eco as it was TOO anemic I might as well get a cheap 500watt if Im going to use Eco)! Thanks for your reviews and help! i’m working with Voro motors so i would need to stick to those offered Voro motors scooters. thanks
@@Dude17239 Yeah for sure plus side by side specs and a detail of differences. Gotta really know your stuff if you're dropping over $1K for any purchase lol
As you mention, not having an indicator as to which mode one is in seems like an oversight and I find unappealing. I would need to consider replacing the interface which would add to the total cost of the scooter. I can understand that the Wolf Warrior line of scooters has offroading in its DNA so it kind of confuses me that Kaabo decided to invest resources into higher top speed rather than improving the overall riding experience. Given that the scooter has an underlying design intent to be booth for off and on road use it makes compromises in both respects. Ideally one would want a lower center of gravity to operate at higher speeds and taking turns. When the scooter was tested for range was it tested at its highest speed? I wonder if repurposed bicycle hydraulic brakes will be sufficient as we continue to push the limits of these PEVs. I can Imagine that dual or quad piston designs will be utilized as the mass and speed of these scooters increase.
@@41PH4B3TS0UP You indeed need to do some waterproofing yourself and it is actually much easier than it sounds. I did it for my Kaabo Mantis 10 Dual and so far so good. I did it with bathroom silicon and water resistant tape. You have to be very thorough and cover all places where water can get. The Mantis 10 Dual is usable with mountain tires when there is a bit of snow or ice but you have to be careful. We often have light rain but I avoid heavy rain as much as I can, although sh*t happens. All of this lead me to think this shouldn't be a problem for the Kaabo King.
@@41PH4B3TS0UP Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that a waterproofing is 100% secure. Even with the right seal, there are weak access points, in particular the LED lights on the base side and where the cables enter the base of the scooter for example. I doubt that the display is waterproofed but I feel that it is relatively safe around the cable connection to the display and the usb port. However, you are right, the throttle is definitely a weak point, I don't have a solution for this one. Also, water could get through the connector connecting the display to the other cables of the scooter. Fortunately, the display is really easy to replace.
Hey guys great channel I’m new to scooters but am very interested in getting one. Only thing stopping me is know just really how quality these things are. for example when I read specs all I see is Brakes - hydraulic Shocks - hydraulic Tires - 11” Etc etc You’ll never see a mountain bike with no detailed specs. People wanna know exactly what they have My guess is all these components are about as good of components as you see on a $600-800 mountain bike. Only thing I’ve seen with actually good brakes is rion has shimano xt Anyhow just wanna know your thoughts. Don’t want a $4000 scooter lasting 2 years before having to replace a lot of things or have ongoing issues I guess the big cost is the battery. Which is why I’m thinking everything is potential crap but am I totally wrong here ? Thanks
I'm going to take the risk I can't hold back anymore I've got a 30mph no branded scooter atm and it feels fast I leave cars most the time but I need something faster 👀
@@dannygrayakaspidah419 Haha I feel you danny, im in the exact same boat have you ordered one? I've got the solar P1 had it a few month but already want to upgrade.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide okay thanks cuz i was confused at first and thought that they jumped the price up so it look like you where getting a deal but thanks for replying I really appreciate it 🙌🏻💯
I cut my foot open on that kickstand. It is the only downside to my wolf warrior 11. Other than that its insane. I can only imagine what 60mph standing feels like.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide do it once and I guess never again. There should be a warning about the kickstand as I ride with my right foot forwards and my left comes down on the kickstand when not paying attention
The Warrior has a less abrubt throttle, but I personally enjoy the King more than the Warrior, and I like the thicker brake rotors on the King. I haven't ridden the RE90, but it's a very different machine. Super expensive, super fast (would dust the Wolf King), but very focused: no kick stand, and almost no suspension to deal with less than perfect pavement. -Pau
Hi ESG Team Any idea how to adjust the rear springs on the Wolf King? I took ot for my first ride today and the springs kept bottoming out on small potholes.
No. Same battery. It would get more range just running single motor though. You do want to be careful not to spend too much time at large amounts of throttle on hills in single motor mode on any scooter though.
I'd probably add paracord or braided wire to the safety pin. Secondly, I wonder if folding ramps for dirt-bikes are useful for getting larger scooters into these. Lastly, I'd like to see Yakima make trailer hitch scooter carriers (essentially what they have just modified to accommodate scooters). I bet third parties will start making accessories like these as PEV adoption goes up.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide i look forward to it. your performance testing is something all scooter utubers should be doing! anyways, i hope to see more of the big boys being tested man, not many people are testing them properly.
Thanks for the feedback! We're hoping to get some Weped scooters in the ESG Lab soon! We generally make announcements about what scooters are next on our weekly liveshow, so check back in with us!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Hey Paul! Yep Michael Sha started his own eScooter company after leaving Kaabo. NAMI ELECTRIC Viper Electric Scooter. Look them up on FB. I've been following every step and safe to say it's probably the most well tested pre-production scooter to date. Michael used the lessons learnt from his time with Kaabo and tested every inch of his scooter during development, it's nuts! Very surprised you haven't heard anything about it! :)
I am curious if your steering is too stiff? I just got mine and the steering is too tight and I don't want to turn any bolts of this is how it is supposed to be. Thank you!
Our steering isn't stiff at all. I've seen some scooters where it loosens up as it breaks in. If you set it on a box and turn it, does it feel stiff, or just when riding? -Paul
Glad for this review ESG too late for me Its in route and I'm glad to has good review because even though I pulled the Trigger on it. I was also looking at the Blade Z
I just think that the king is a bit an overkill for me, too powerful. Btw i own a WW standard version and i just think it's just enough for me. Good Review ESG!
Thanks Bryan! Yup, to each his own, the King DEFINITELY isn't for everyone, and the Warrior is an excellent choice. Happy riding, and thanks for watching!
Hey I also have a wolf king but the bottom says it’s a wolf warrior 11 max what does that mean I bought it off of offer up so did I get scammed it feels and looks exactly like a wolf king but I want to know does all wolf kings on the bottom say this I also have a picture of it
Scooter manufacturers always test scooter range going VERY slow, sometimes about 20kmh. We ride them as we would ride ourselves. Faster scooters we ride fast and then the range goes down. All our range tests are on the same track since the very beginning. electric-scooter.guide/comparisons/electric-scooter-performance-tests/
Its super easy to pick up just don't ever pick up the whole thing at once because you could strain yourself. I loaded up my wolf king in my wifes civic it took about 1 minute and fit perfectly on the back seat
On our Wolf King P9 does not affect the top speed when the wheels are not under load (sitting on a work stand). It spins up to 86 mph either way, but slower spin up on P9 = 1. I haven't tried it to see if it affects top speed when riding. -Paul
I placed my warrior order 3 days ago and just found out about the king. Luckily I was able to cancel and order this instead. For some reason on fluidfreeride the wolf warrior is at 2999$
@@Thundernoob98 Don't order it from Alibaba theres no warranty just voro motors or e scooter but with e scooter you be waiting 2 months compared to voro motors which is about 2 weeks

@@TheLondonCyclist maybe it’s for when cars are not right behind you. Anything that lets people know you are there is good. Also in NZ I can see them making it a must have as I’m sure they will bring in a law for registration and warranty. Anything for them to make money. But hey thx for your informative info lol
Its possible because I'm getting close to 30 miles of range with my wolf king 72 volt all settings maxed out and I live in the catskill mountains so yeah its very possible there getting those numbers on flatter terrain with the 60 volt especially if there taking it easy. I ride full throttle as much as possible and it takes forever to kill the battery
I've done 100km single charge range and i've also depleted the battery with 40-45km range aswell. There are many factors that include how long the battery last , but its mainly inclunation / rider weight. Most youtuber do reviews but never really anything hardcore like 150km+ or so ( ofcourse with stop to charge ). I never run single motor and i am always gear 3. My Weight during summer is between 85-90kg and during winter 90-95kg usually ( +5 more clothes and stuff )
The Wolf Warrior 11 is the only dual motor scooter that we didn't run in dual motor mode when doing the range test. If we were to run it again, we would do it dual motor for sure, and range would definitely drop a bit. Average speed was also a little different. We averaged 18.1 mph during out WW range test and 20.1 mph on our Wolf King range test. To be fair though, those are the speeds we felt like the scooters wanted to be ridden. -Paul
Chuck and I both weigh 165 and we love our Wolf King. It's not very portable though. If you can roll it into the garage at home and roll it into work, or wherever you're taking it, then you should be fine. It's difficult for one person to pick up and I would say nearly impossible for one person to safely carry up stairs. It's a great ride though. Always always always keep both hands on the handlebars when in motion though. The throttle is incredibly sensitive, if you turn all of the settings all the way up.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Sweet! thanks for the Response. i was wondering if my height and weight would affect my Maneuverability? I don't plan on carrying it and i plan on driving/storing it right into the Garage. Also, can the Wolf King can be tamed and less twitchy by adjusting the settings?
My only complaint is the weight , I live up two flights of stairs and I honestly regret coming home and bringing it up to my apartment . It isn’t to bad if my girlfriend helps but she conveniently isn’t home when I need her .Other then that it’s a awesome scooter . Almost too fast for where I live .
Depends on the tires. I think it makes an awesome on-road scooter with the road tires, and is just ok on the road with the dirt tires. Fortunately, we have both kinds of tires on hand, but they aren't easy to swap out! -Paul
hmm the range drop off is about 10 miles, pretty huge difference when deciding between the 11+ and King. Wondering if it's worth it or just get the 11+🤔
but keep in mind that's riding in dual motor mode with turbo on. If you're just cruising, that's usually single motor mode with no turbo. I'd say the Wolf King could get 70 km like that
@@caelanho2109 Yea but I don't ride single motor bc it puts too much stress on one motor. Also I doubt this gives 33mi in dual motor max speed heavy on the throttle. I can't decide between the 2 but I prefer range over speed as I like cruising the beach coastlines.
I think when they said two motor with turbo isn't full speed all the time. It's more like some hill climbs, stop and go, the type of stuff you'd do on your usual joy rides
As I responded to an earlier post, when ESG range tests these scooters they drive them within the capabilities of each scooter, the King is driven at a faster speed overall the the Warrior.
I'm trying to limit my spending to 800 then I realized... maybe the emove cruiser for 1400. But then again what's another 1600 for the wolf king 😈 well a lot actually but.
