The New York Rangers selected Kaapo Kakko at No. 2 in the NHL Draft 2019. According to Craig Button of TSN Kakko plays his game with “skill, power and will.”
Here are some of his highlights before the NHL. The material consists of clips from the Finnish Liiga, the World Junior Championship games and the World Championship Games. I don't own the material. Hope you enjoy!

@@clashman7950 the closer we get...the more I'm leaning towards those who think he's too expensive. I was sooooo excited about him coming here this whole off season till about 2 days ago. Now I'm on the fence... I am glad they didn't go the buy-out route with Shatty and Smith

The long-term Hughes vs Kakko comparison will be interesting. If Kakko has something in his favor, it's that he's built for the playoffs. Dude is a unit.

It was nice to see highlights of him setting up his teammates and working hard for the puck along the wall like you said... instead of just highlights of him scoring all the time... which isn't bad either LoL

Hughes looks better, his skating is a lot more fluid and faster. Kakko is still a beast tho

plenty of fluid skaters that didnt translate at all..I like Kakoos size hands etc he will run hughes over with speed and strength alone in fact quinn hughes is better of the two only he wont get the points jack will but if quinn grew up playing forward id say hed have been better of the two
