Every time I watch that, I cry 😢 There is all in that dance : beauty, honor, pride, courage, respect, love, emotion, etc..... Too much beauty 😍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Not sure if you noticed but if a woman throws in a white pice of textiles they instantly stop the duel. This can be any woman one they don’t even know but they have to respect it and stop fighting it’s the creed. This might be where throwing in a towel came from in sports this is a really old tradition for Circassians.
Great dance. Im an ancestor of Greek Pontians (with roots in Caucasus , Kars ) and we have also a sword/knife dance ...same story ,for a woman. Circassians and Greeks lived in the region of Caucasus from ancient times still always as friends so greetings from an old friend!!!
@@levishelm426 kars is not Caucasus?...perhaps now cause it belongs to Turkey ,but before was a great part of Caucasus. But also the Greeks lived in the North Caucasus area from 1000.bC. still ,together with Circassians and other Caucasian people . I dont think that you do know well the History my friend ,and what is your nationality? Copying Circassians why?....we have our own culture and as you know ,if you do ,we ,Ancient Greeks had some History behind us ,every where in the whole you dig you can find something that belonges to Ancient Greek . We respected Circassians and they respected us , we also cooperated in trade and we had always good realtionships.... And i just said that we ,Pontic Greeks have a dance with knifes also ,like this one .I didnt say that this dance is ours and stuff .
@@levishelm426 again tell me who are you and your nationality......cause i tbink i can understand where are you from . And bieleve me i already have spoken with Circassians an d others of this region and they feel proud that we were lived together
@@levishelm426 listen my friend cause i dont want to argue with you .You are right its out of the topic....but i think that Kars was part of Caucasus ,you dont think that.. ok . As far as how Greeks contributed to the region culture its another thing . Let me tell you one thing, the first Circassian coin had the name "ΣΙΝΔΩΝ" on it ....can you tell in wich language is it?
These sword dances were probably once, if not still, a part of traditional martial arts curriculum for their warriors. In many respects, they look not to disimilar to the forms training found in arts like Thang Ta, Kalaripayyatu and Angaporam.
Spins apart, yes it seems so many of the moves are very fast and pragmatical like they would be in actual combat. Like jousting was a way for knights to train and simulate mounted combat
It's same in sword dances from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Also, the women often dance between the two men, when drops the scarf it's a signal to stop the fight. What's the name of this circassian dance?
İn sword dances , there are no woman, İTS all in Georgian , Cherkess, Avar, , Armenian. This dance which you show has two names, " beside the spring" or " jealous" .
@@platonsocrat7935 No bro it is definitly Georgian(khevsuruli) dance, not circcasian. also it will be better if you communicate with me in english, not russian, russians made genocide to circcasian people and they kill many georgians too
Shame on you! Nobody steals your culture!
@@platonsocrat7935 @Platon Socrat 1) I am very calm, you better look at your comment and you will see who is more excited betwe en the two of us. 2) Now, regarding cultural superiority, it should be said that one culture may be ahead of another culture, or one nation may be ahead of another in one field of culture, and instead, the second culture may be superior to the first in a specific direction. I have my own opinion on these issues, although I am not going to declare myself superior to others, it should be done by someone else, besides, a strong culture can withstand the change of time and eras, culture should be able to develop, the main thing here is to respect each other and not steal from each other. 3) You said that the Circassians are culturally self-sufficient, this is simply ridiculous, culture cannot be self-sufficient, it is necessarily subject to development, otherwise it will definitely surrender to the past, and eventually disappear. Therefore, think carefully about the Circassian culture before you say that it is self-sufficient, self-sufficient is only God. Such an epithet for anything other than God is idolatry and a manifestation of the pagan spirit. 4) The fact that Kabardinka is written on this dance is really a theft of culture, by the way, in the comment below you can read the comment of a Circassian lady, where she writes that this ensemble directly indicated that this is a Georgian dance, the ensemble danced it as a sign of respect for all Caucasian people. There was definitely no attempt on their part to steal culture, however the uploader of this video certainly did, and that behavior is disgraceful, and your justifying and defending it is also disgraceful. 5) Finally, please, if you know English, let's talk in this language, not in Russian!
georgian fshav-xevsurian fighting moves which was like language for georgians xevsurian shield and sword 😅😅😅 why everyone are stoling everything from georgia? this is your religion? to stole eveything from other nation?
Who said this is a Georgian dance originally? Have you seen the real authentic Parikaoba? They fight on their knees holding with both hands the sword and shield. These are only stage dances, common to all Caucasians
