These homemade banana waffles are sensational! The batter is so simple; it comes together in just 5 minutes. They’re tasty, satisfying, and best of all, effortless to make. So, there’s no need to wake up too early in the morning to whip up a batch.
Also, it is a wonderful option that might appeal to the people who aren’t really fond of vegetable including kids. The way you present food to your child can have a significant impact on your child’s acceptance of that food. And these savoury waffles are a great way to get your kids pleading for more vegetables!
Ingredients:
5-6 raw bananas
1.5 cups gram flour
1 tsp salt
Water
1 tbsp baking powder
Chopped Onions, Tomatoes, Capsicum and Carrot
Tofu slices
Fresh Bokchoy leaves
Ketchup
Vegan mayonnaise
Recipe:
1. Take 5-6 raw bananas and slit each banana with a knife.
2. Cook the bananas in a pressure cooker with salt and water until they become tender.
3. When the bananas have cooled, peel and mash them.
4. Sieve 1.5 cups of gram flour in a bowl.
5. Mix mashed bananas with gram flour.
6. Make a solution with water and 1tsp salt.
7. Add 1 tbsp baking powder to the batter and let it rest for a while.
8. Heat the pan and shallow fry onions, tomatoes, capsicum and carrot.
9. After the vegetables have been fried on both sides, transfer them to a bowl.
10. Heat the waffle maker and apply some oil to it.
11. Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook until it is crisp.
12. Add some fresh pan fried tofu slices and bokchoy with the other pan fried veggies.
13. Top it with some ketchup and vegan mayonnaise and serve.
Your waffles are now ready.
