She makes phenomenal music. Her first album is amazing. Dylan smoked pot. The Beatles smoked pot with Dylan. Johnny Cash was high on pills and booze. All musicians have their own way to create.
I immediately liked Kacey the first time I heard her and I am not into much country at all. She has a free spirit and doesn't fall into many of the country music tropes plus she has the voice of an angel and is an amazing songwriter.
I KNEW there was that extra something on the album. It just sounded way too creative for a country album (in a good way). Didn’t know what but now it makes sense watching this vid. Slow Burn is a perfect example. I would even throw High Horse in there as well.
Anyone shocked by this interview must have only just found her music because she’s talked about recreational use previously and has sung about getting high in multiple songs over all her albums. It’s her life, she created something amazing and how she did it is her business as long as she’s taking care of herself.
I love this girl and i love the album but i spit out my coffee at the thought of anything in this album being LSD worthy level creative. really? it's the most down to earth lovely songs on earth.
