Once all the other women smiled and thereby let Miranda know they appreciated the kindness, while Kacey just stared at her. I think all in all it has to be very hard to know what to do in an instant, and very hard to have cameras in your face while youre trying to figure it all out.

It’s more than likely a genuine friendship as it takes a lot to be close enough of a friend with someone to where you take them to an award show so it’s likely they’ve been close friends for years
Kacey is one of few artists I recognized by randomly listening to her on a playlist. Her incredible sound caught me off guard! So I'm not surprised with the fortunes she gets.
There's something special with Kacey that even talented other country singer's doesn't have. Her album Golden Hour is the #6 best album of the Decade by Billboard! She won all of the biggest category at the Grammys! She's on her way to be a legend! And omg she looks so good. A beauty like there is no other! She reminds me a bit of Cher also.

In this period I often listen to "Homecoming queen" and "Club" of Kelsea Ballerini.I love "Slow burn" of Kacey Musgraves is one of my absolute favorite country songs!!! I really like "Girl" by Maren Morris. Carrie Underwood has a wonderful voice and maybe she is the queen of the country! I listen also Tenille Townes and Ashley Mcbryde.Kacey Musgraves lives with "Golden Hour" a great success also won the Grammy!!! So she deserved the Cma Award! I'm Italian so I don't know country music culture as well as Americans, but I think in general Miranda Lambert reflects true country over other female singers.Miranda Lambert is my favorite because while the others add pop to the country she adds rock and I like that!

It's pretty much been the same group of nominees for over a decade now for this award. This is why country music has a reputation for not evolving. I feel Kacey is a breath of fresh air, especially with Golden Hour. Hopefully it inspires many other girls to pursue writing country music , because the genre needs new faces.

@@christopheradkins2031 Absolutely. I didn't see Carrie's tour that year, I'll bet it was amazing as always. I think since the Award shows have been showering Carrie with awards for the past decade they gave the edge to Kacey being a fresher face with a crossover album.

Miranda is getting a lot of boos for the look on her face. But if you look back at the same category in 2013, Miranda won and Kacey lost. Kacey had the SAME exact look on her face.
Female country artists never receive as much airplay as the men, but Kacey has never been fully embraced by country radio and it's somewhat interesting because you can really only speculate as to why. For example, Maren Morris is very similar in terms of her artistic identity and she does very well with radio. Overall, it's becoming more and more obvious that radio is losing its' influence. In other words, a lack of support from country radio no longer spells doom for a career.
