It is just a game, but for better or worse, MKLeo and many others are playing it for a job, which makes people that win with characters like Steve and Game and Watch really annoying😑

dude you cant just think in tiers, you have to think in matchups characters like hero and robin both do good vs steve for different reasons both have a strong setup of ranged attacks meaning they dont have to fight steve close up and get hit by his broken wooden weapons combos, or get killed by his super overtuned diamond weapons and if steve mines hero can buff himself, and robin can charge their neutral-b, and they also regenerate resources both have good ways to deal with blocks and minecart as well come on, this is obvious if you just think about it, the characters who really struggle with steve are the ones who have to try to rush him down and outfight him up close, because they have to play pretty much perfect because of how overtuned steve is, if they also don't have attacks that go through blocks or counters them in some other way they are in for a rough ride if vs a good steve, roy falls into that category, joker doesn't, he can outspace steve, he has a ranged attack albeit it one that requires precision, he has two different counters which is great vs minecart, and he has arsene, he's not great vs blocks, but otherwise he's ok it was stupid of leo to start with roy, leo then lost with joker primarily because he doesn't know how to mash SDI vs steves jab combo thereby making it a kill combo

@@AshTonnet-dn1we I'm against discriminating steve players, but I think it's dishonest to say he wasn't supremely outclassing the characters Leo played. Just look how many times Leo wins neutral compared to Yamanaction. When it comes to the things you said about him playing better in off-stage situations and taking stocks, those are things that the characters tools provide. I have yet to play Steve in bracket myself, but I've been heavily considering it, because the character simplifies the game to a ridiculous degree, where you simply do not have to be as good in the game as your opponent. But what would a mid level player such as myself know.

Kazuya is NOWHERE NEAR problematic. Kazuya DROPPED on the Tier List and to this day only has won 1 MAJOR by 1 PERSON (Riddles).

And besides, you cannot even place blocks in mid-air in minecraft, why can you in Smash?! Literally, where are the updates after 3.0. Nerf Steve anvil, minecart and blocks, nerf sonic spindash, nerf G&W up-B and chef. And the game is more smash fundamentals again.

@@ScythraI cannot fathom why Steve can do more crazy BS in Smash than in his own game. Bad on the developers for not supporting the game with patches after some really poor design decisions. Mid-air blocks are incredibly broken.

@@thelordoftheweebs9501 Leo's bracket was really good for him too. First, Akakikusu, who did beat him at Delta 8, but if Leo went Roy from the start, he probably would have won that. Second, Tea, a player that he always beats. Third, Raru, who is the most unpredictable opponent here, but the fact that Leo plays characters with disjoints is quite helpful.

Nah. NA has far more players like Hurt that can beat Miya and Acola repeatedly, or make it insanely hard for them to win 3+ match ups. Like MuteAce and Light. Japan as a nation is very over hyped for the most part.

If Steve wasn't so ridiculously broken, Roy would have erased this player from the bracket in a 3-0.

What is interesting is that Steve supporters always tells you in the comments whenever Acola wins finals Steve isn't broken but it's because acola is goated. Whenever other Steve players destroy their opponents you don't see these comments anymore. Curious right? Indeed. It's more complicated than "it's just acola who is goated" . There are other very good steve players, there are many in japan and from us there is Onin and he plays like god. At times it feels he just plays like acola. There are many videos out there analyzing Steve that explains that Steve unlike other characters has almost no move that results in him being punished when he misses. He is not punished for spamming fsmash, mine cart down air, build blocks etc.

@@namelessone5022I get what you’re saying, but your argument is flawed because you are implying that it is impossible for a Steve player to outplay their opponent and that every time a Steve wins, it is because their character and not their skill. Instead of crying “bAN sTeVe; tHaT gUy is CArRied” when a Steve player gets an upset, ignore your bias for the opposing player and see what they did wrong. Leo could have easily sdi’ed out of that jab train in game 4, but he didn’t. The only characters that should be getting hit by that are Fox, Brawler, and Bowser.

What do you expect. Roy is suffocating in neutral and can have extremely long combo strings but Steve has a much better advantage state. They're both just playing their characters strengths well. Don't ignore the fact that you were too slow to realize leo could've sdi the jab train double fair but you are part of the problem. You see a Steve win and rather than work on improving, you want to ban Steve since you are a quitter and like taking the easy way out. Stay 1-2.
