@Marco Brancorsini he was very skilled before I'm sure but Years as a merchant, probably never practicing or the like His skills would be rusty if not just gone
@@omega13whitelucario95 I'm sure he was but Amatsu is a calamity made flesh, much like all the monsters at its level. Only hunters with god-like skills like the player character and few more can beat one of those
Emotionally I think the Japanese VA’s sold it more HOWEVER THO Yomogi’s English actor did a good job as well, almost mirroring the tone 1-to-1. Definitely made me go “Awww 😢” and ready to slay Amastu off the strength.
There's a circulating theory that Yomogi's mother is the hunter with the Aoshira armor and HBG in MHP3rd intro. The hair color and hairstyle are similar, Yomogi is also an HBG user and she came from a nearby village.
It's pretty clearly stated that Yomogi's mother was the queen of Tsukito City. According to the letter Kagero wrote to, but never delivered to Yomogi (which they put on their official Twitter account), the queen ascended to the throne at a mere 14 years old, and probably had Yomogi in her early twenties. Then Amatsu showed up and wiped out the city in a Rampage-like event. With her dying breath, the queen trusted Kagero with her child and begged him to flee. He eventually arrived in Kamura, where the people took the baby in and nursed him back to health.
Okay can we point out that amatsu nearly sniped them from the base camp. In lore the camps are supposed to be far enough from the combat that monsters typically cant reach.
I love how, in spite of Amatsu’s sleek, graceful design and movements, it is arguably one of the most destructive, territorial and antagonistic forces in Monster Hunter. Maybe not Black Dragon levels of destruction, but it’s pretty damn close.
Princess Yomogi...!?! This hit quite hard. She and Chichae are heiress to kingdoms. Amatsu is a different beast than in MHGU...with Narwa's lightning & Ibushi's wind.
Yomogi's lineage is alluded to even in base Rise, but you had to look for it. In your room, there is a Felyne called Fukashigi the Informant that hides behind one of your walls. Interacting with the wall reveals him, and he - depending on how far you are into the story - will reveal a secret about one of the Kamura villagers. After beating the main Village story, he says Yomogi has an air of someone of noble or even royal birth. The second clue is when you return to Kamura for some plot events. If you talk to Kagero, he says that he wants you to tell Tadori that "Her Highness" is doing well.
Kagero was about to slay an elder dragon with god like powers with nothing but a dagger. You can feel his sorrow and you can see him going crazy. He is truly a brave soul. I just felt like he should have joined the player and Utsushi.
Did anyone listen or play it with the monster hunter language. I really felt pretty emotional at that cutscene because; when ever I played it with the monster hunter language, they always seem so chilled and relaxed. But in that language, I heard anger, sadness and things I never imagined to be expressed through that language. If we get another monster hunter game, I hope they continue to keep the monster hunter language.
This scene really shatte the heart of how sad it is Also i don't know but is their a reason why we get to see what kagero face look like is their a special reason for it?
Kagero was covering his face out of shame for running away from the village with Yomogi when Amatsu wrecked the whole place. The fact he was unmasked in this scene is a way to show he came to terms with his past.
@@hotrod5818 not really, just by saying alot of animes that already means 90% or more, which are isekais, slice of lives, harem, crappy battle shounen that never took off, crappy action so yk
This makes me wonder how strong is Kagero? He was hit by Amatsu point blank to the face and emerged unskaved! His mask fell off and the tip of his sword broke and that's it!
No beef but i find the kagero scene a bit lacking, just him go from rage and vengeful roar to instantly calmed down and then trusting things to us and utsushi. Knowing his background, i think it'd be more impactful if he's the one delivering thee killing blow, or at least had a chance to fight amatsu before finally entrusted it to us after realizing it is matter beyond his power
Makes sense, but to be honest I liked him leaving once the Fierce and Utsushi got there. It was like he finally realized what was the most important thing he had and decided not to let his desire for vengeance to consume him.
@@dinorex3464 hmm, i suppose one could also perceive it that way. I also found it weird that yomogi and kagero are having touching moment and amatsu's like, you know, just there watching. But then someone mentioned it's probably caused by amatsu not sensing danger from both, and only reacted once our character arrived, which is an excellent point. Then again, to where did yomogi and kagero took shelter after leaving it to us? Inside the camp? 🧐🤣
