Kahramanmaraş 2024, Video After the Earthquake.
Kahramanmaraş experienced the worst earthquake disaster that has ever happened to Türkiye on February 6, 2023. The center of the city was destroyed, many people lost their lives and their relatives, and the rest lost their homes. Even after a year has passed, many people have either left the city temporarily/permanently, and some are living in tent cities. Even though new houses are being built, Kahramanmaraş will never be the same again. In this video, we present to you, without comment, the region of the city most affected by the earthquake, one year after the earthquake. The city has changed considerably compared to what it was before the earthquake. Ongoing construction and demolitions take place on the same streets. We had a hard time finding our way without asking the locals for directions, because all the streets we knew by heart were empty. Currently, the city is a construction site and the people are trying to heal their wounds. We dedicate this video to the beautiful people of Kahramanmaraş. Get well soon Kahramanmaraş….
