There's no official "hard mode". There's only one difficulty setting. BUT there is DEFINITELY a "hard way" to do things. And fighting The Tree Sentinal is difficult even after LEVEL 50! To beat it at level 1, right out the starting gate... it's an impressive stunt. You won't hear any souls fan downplaying it.

never watched a kai stream in my life (im 32), but as a huge elden ring fan i tuned it cause of the trailer and effort he put into it. he impressed me with his dedication and earned a new fan for sure

I wasn’t a fan of Elden ring,but I keep seeming clips of Kai play. So I watched him beat the game. Currently playing now and I love it. Kai made me a fan of him and the game.

Kai beat Radahn around level 45 without magic, summons or OP weapons. People who don’t play Elden ring don’t know how insane that is. I already had a lot of respect for Kai before but it grown even more after that marathon.

@Revealingstorm. Honestly, he did a more impressive feat: he beat the tree sentinel at the start. I didn't do that (my first playthrough) and i had a bunch of souls experience when i started elden ring. But he did. That dedication is admirable for someone who hase never played a souls game before

I been playing Souls games since Demon's Souls on PS3. I have the platinum trophy for ER on PS5. And I can confirm that is super impressive. Anyone who knows what they're talking about would have to agree.

@@hellogoodbye3786 I guess but one of the main themes Miyazaki was going for on Elden Ring, which I'm pretty sure he's stated in interviews, is that they wanted players to realize it's ok to go and do other things and not bash your head against an enemy over and over again if you're struggling with it. I'm more impressed if someone doesn't try to die against the tree sentinel over and over again at the beginning of the game

Kai showed a lot of perseverance, and for that he got my respect as a 31 year old man. Never gave a fuck about his channel, but him playing made me watch and go to his twitch. It was a dope journey.💯

I’ve never seen anyone beat the tree sentinel before leveling during their first play through, that was insane, every boss fight was like this, massively under-leveled n never used magic or summons, just sheer will power

I’ve ever played a souls game not to mention haven’t played games since the ps2 because of work and got laid off so I got a ps5 and Elden ring was my first souls game I ever played and I felt that accomplishment he had after beating it. Good on you brother🤙🏽

Yeah i was in thay same boat and all of a sudden i kept watching and watching and was always anticipating him winning and my god i was proud when he beat it cause he is a prime example of what the games mean, keep pushing and never give up he avoided going hollow. Now time for dark souls 😂

funny thing is elden ring is not a normal video game. its all based on alchemy and religion. by a artist that wanted to make a spiritual journey in the form of a video game. the game is so hard specifically for you to fail over and over and never give up and perfect yourself till you become gold. or (the elden lord)
