Defeating the tree sentinel at the beginning of the game in your first run of a souls game is a very good demonstration of Will power and determination.
i saw his will power in ghost of tsushima. he may got that bronx education but he has so much heart. it's proof that wits is not all there is to success - just determination and character.
I did it and i wouldn't call it determination but being stubborn 🤣 I was like "how dare he block my way and beat my ass" so i tried 30 times until i beat him xD
I’ve never watched Kai Cenat but I love how hard he goes with his “set” when he’s playing something. Like I saw screenshots of him playing RDR2 and he had a whole cowboy desert motif with cacti, saloons, etc. Now he’s on ER with the fantasy dragon type vibe. Bro really sets the mood
Never followed him but this whole Elden Ring saga has gained my respect, he has the heart of a fromsoft veteran. He actually approached the game with a better mindset than many fromsoft veterans I've seen.
It's just a game lil bro, anyone can approach it anyway they want it to. If you want to 2 tap a boss, go do it. If you want to struggle and learn all the movesets of the opponent, go do it. Literally nothing is stopping you from doing anything in souls games and that's the beauty of it. The only thing stopping anyone is you fucking nerds who wanna tell people how they should play a game they fully paid for.
There are 3 types of clips in this vid: 1) Copious amounts of screaming due to dying to a boss 2) Copious amounts of screaming due to defeating a boss 3) Desk abuse
Bruh its him dying that makes it entertaining and fun to watch lol. and obviously he will die close to that doing the game no summons,no spells , first souls game.
@@johngaynor4363 I don’t think I’ve died 1700 times across the 3 of the souls games and I’ve almost given up 60 attempts bc it took too long, watching him die was entertaining a lot of the times but to see him go at it for almost 300-500 on malenia and mohg I can’t help but respect that.
He got paid of course, he would've stopped playing if he wasn't. props to him for beating it tho i would've tried to finish the game if i was getting paid too LOL
I've never seen someone who has never played a souls game manage to beat tree sentinel without quitting after so much effort. Kai is legit a grinder holy - I didn't even die so much to Isshin
The editing on the video captures very well as best as it could for the short duration, having seen most of the boss battles conclusions live, you did well!
Because its a bigger achievement. You're allowed too play the game how you want. Its like asking why would anyone want too do a no hit run when getting hit is part of the game.@@anirudhmenon4234
Probably best promo for game / upcoming dlc I've ever seen . Never even really fucked with Kai but homie gained my respect . Anyone who's played Elden knows that grind of dying and dying and dying .... and dying ahaha but once you finally beat that boss , really is the best feeling next to head while gaming
@@benzini-ce6bm The counter for it is a flask item, purifying crystal tear. You get it from killing bloody finger Eleonora from the bloody finger hunter Yura quest.
i came here from that 'worst elden ring player' animated short... but tbh this is HELLA impressive!! the dedication and focus and masochism is more than i'd ever be able to have so man... absolute respect!!
He knew what he was walking into hell and he was prepared to face it. Big up to whoever recommended it to him and how he stuck it out. I'm not even gonna hate it on Moonveil. Amazing video!!
I have no idea who this dude is but it’s always nice seeing new players in the souls community. Especially when is seems he’s enjoying first playthrough.
@mingi1489 he did call Elden Ring a Masterpiece upon beating it. I don't know about you but I wouldn't call a game a Masterpiece unless I absolutely enjoyed it
@@blackroomrob4205 well I absolutely hated the game when I first played with a guide but after using a guide to get a decent start I am actually liking it even tho i’m dying a lot by bosses
@@blackroomrob4205 the game is hard but still so much content and things to explore Only flaw is that it doesn’t show directions on what to do or where to go so sometimes i’m just riding around doing nothing
@mingi1489 ngl, that was my first hour or two playing the game as well. Once you remember that you don't have to go straight to Margit first and you can run around levelling up, then the progress starts. I'm loving the game so far but the learning curve is a lot harsher than I first thought 😅
@@nobody1336 bro as kai what do you kids watch. Like people who say his content is bad I just want to know what you guys watch all day because Kai isn't even that bad.
@@pullout_jay2317 90% of his content is just inviting other celebrities on his stream and talking the only times he’s actually funny is when he’s playing a game what do YOU be watching to find other people just talking all day entertaining. Edit: nvm your subscriptions already show you watch mfs who don’t actually make content but react to other content
123 deaths and 5 hours to defeat tree sentinel is not bad, considering he was under leveled, I saw a vtuber who spent 10 hours and probably double the amount of deaths (hit death 100 in 5:36 hours), same circumstances (lvl and class), I beat the game (maybe second or third game that requires skill) but used summons and many cheese strats, honestly I don't think I could've done better, really want to go back now and do a no summons/cheese run. Respects to him
him crying on the ground after he beats the elden beast is honestly what we souls players live for and the exact answer to why we play these games even though they tear our minds apart, its because of that feeling of pure bliss and accomplishment like that
Honestly, Im impressed with Kai Cenat. His strength lies not in his playstyle, but on his determination and sheer will. Guy fights most of the bosses under leveled, and refuses to change his strategy everytime he fights bosses. Honestly anyone whose death is half the number of Kai's death should have quit long ago, but not him. Hats off to this dude.
I genuinely respect the dude. Like... sure he was fuckin terrible, but Soulslikes don't care about how you beat them, they just care that you beat them. Dude had that Determination, and that's what makes a Souls player.
I got asked by a mate to play this since it came out. Wasnt sure. Saw kai do it so tried it. 6 weeks later got 100% on xbox. 3 completions and done the dlc 😂. Amazing game❤.
Gained a ton of respect for Kai and am genuinely impressed. This was not an easy thing for him. I mean dying 500+ times to a single boss and still having the mental fortitude to keep challenging her is insane. He has a better mentality that most players for sure.
Call him the worst player but the dude had the determination to die 1701 times and still keep on pushing. That's a true Souls player if you ask me. Good on him.
This man never ever gave up. 1.7k deaths and still beat elden ring. Personally i think this should send a message to lots of different people regarding the game’s ability to give you the feeling of accomplishment. Legend.
I love that we have to dole out extra rewards for ppl like Kai. Since they do nothing for a living- finishing hard things like Elden Ring are especially important.
Everyone’s talking abt how difficult the tree sentinel is, well here’s the thing, if your an og souls player and you’ve played every single souls game tree sentinel is the easiest mini boss ever
Kai had the patience to die 1700 times in only one continuous stream to complete the game. He has an otherwordly level of dedication, you gotta recognize this fact. Doesn't matter if he's bad, that's not the point. He got to see the end of Elden Ring in one go.
