Werner is not a hitman. He is more pacy and energetic than Giroud but Giroud can head the ball and bully defenders which Timo can't. Playing Timo on the wings is the only way Lampard can accommodate Werner in a 4-3-3. Unless Lampard changes to 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 Timo will never shine at Chelsea. He needs a supporting striker to perform.

3-5-2 is the best formation for Chelsea now with the lack of wingers. Giroud and Werner can play up front. Azpi, Zouma and Silva at the back. Center Midfield of either Havertz/Mount/Kante or Havertz/Kovacic/Kante. Reece as RWB. Finally, PABLO ESCOBAR WITH WEED PLAYING LWB
