KAIDO vs LUFFY FINALE: ABSOLUTE CINEMA! || ONE PIECE EPISODE 1076 

The anime elevated Kaidou's backstory a lot more. I always thought he was an amazing villain but this adds more dimensions to him. He was born in a world of violence from Vodka needing to wage war for the celestial contributions to being sold of as a weapon for said contributions. Then needing to fight for his food and earning his spot with Rocks due to his fighting abilities. It's always been a fight to survive.

Kaido was out here looking like Jesus in his younger days😭

Luffy just floating in the sky, laughing, after delivering such an epic finisher, and the lanterns just surrounding him was an amazing moment. He's just so majestic 👑

That backstory was way more fleshed out in the anime, this man was out here swatting people left and right 😭 That ending shot with Luffy was PERFECT.

It’s kinda fitting that Brago was on his phone when Momo finally created a sizable cloud.

I have to say it, my opinion may be controversial, but... Wano manga: 8.5/10 (Amazing) Wano anime: 9.6/10 (Almost perfect)

I wonder if the combine hours of this fight breaks the previous longest fight in anime history Goku vs Frieza?

The idea of old lady Kurozumi being outside of Wano and shifting some gears.... I can't help but be really curious about Wano. She's basically the sole firestarter of Wano's downfall. Such a mastermind move

It's a shame they didn't expand on Kaido's flashback, but unfortunately Oda is keeping any information about God Valley under lock and key.

After seeing this and piecing together what fujitora said back in dressrosa about blinding himself I'm thinking fujitora's country was either poor or war torn but since he was strong the drafted him in exchange for food and peace which is why he hates how the government operates

I went into this episode knowing they were going to do a power struggle. I was afraid toei might fundle and make it as bad as the king kong gun power struggle versus doffy. Which is what got me to completely quit the anime until roof piece started. Boy am I happy I was wrong. They did a power struggle, but I loved the way they did it. Toei took all my problems with 1049, fixed them, and made the experience overall better. Kaido's lackluster flashback might not be perfect, but the anime made it feel more fleshed out. Momo's flame cloud moment wasn't perfect either, but it felt better in the anime. Luffy's underwhelming victory in the manga was also fixed. Perfect end to the fight showing Luffy laughing surrounded by the lanterns. They took the source material and made it better. Absolutely amazing job by toei. What a great time to be a one piece fan.

When you realize kaido had a bounty of 70 million before he was 15, goes to show how strong he really is

It was a master piece, Kaidou will be missed! 😢

When Kaido was 8 or younger , he was force to become a adult and fight to survive. Sold to the navy at 12. Became a outlaw for 2-4 years. Join the Rock pirates and Start a empire. Momonosuke, had a easy life until he was 8 and was force to grow up and not able to really live. Both dragon on the same coin. Oda trying to say, depending on your economics, that how people will turn out.

Love Luffy knocking Kaido into Sumi-E (Japanese black ink painting) just like St. Charlos getting punched back into the Manga - Vodka isn’t just a reference to Kaido’s love for alcoholic beverages but the Japanese pronunciation of vodka as “U~okka” or “Wokka” which relates to his laughing style "worororo" & Kaido’s Devil Fruit the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu - At the age of 15 Kaido got a bounty of 70,000,000 Berries / Yen = $ 473,693.08 - Funny Kaido mentioning who could be Joyboy with the fact that his name’s meaning can relate to Joyboy - With Kaido’s past revealed he shows a lot of similarities of 2 movie villains that being “Golden Lion” Shiki who can make islands float, has connections to a scientist that being Dr.Indigo = Caesar (both are voiced by Ryūsei Nakao), both were part of the Rocks Pirates, & both uses animal based experiments that come from plants (IQ plant = Smiles). The other one is Douglas Bullet with both being a child soldier who was later betrayed by their kingdoms & both are experts in both their Devil Fruits & Haki

The anime did work on this. Really got to comprehend that last back and forth. Kaido coated his dragon form into a huge magma/flame dragon

it was good but the whole thing where they did not show the impact was garbage... I'd dare say without that part the episode lost quality...it's like it was rushed

Kaido is in my Top 5 favorite antagonists in the series, the only thing that stops him from being above guys like Doflamingo and Katakuri is the little we have of his past and motivations.

I feel like his backstory, or at least his time with Rocks is going to be its own thing and we’re going to get a more fleshed out Rocks story and how they came to be. So we’ll see Big Mom and the other Yonko getting introduced as pirates that way.

Literally last few episodes went on my nerves that much, that it's unimaginable, like how much can you repeat the same scene... literally the most important part of Wano is ruined, it gives you little bit of hype and then here it is, REPEAT of some monolog, recap... blahhhh

Kaido was tired too. He realized letting Luffy wins is a win win knowing it’s been so long since someone challenge him that length.

Imagine being there, suddenly the whole place is in the sky, then the whole place goes on fire, then an actual tsunami shows up. You look up at the sky, and there's a fire dragon being pummeled by a big hand, all of this is just insane, and it's just too much One Piece to be had 🤣 so cool!

Out of the context but what do you think if that nika fruit was once the heart of that giant machine in egg head? It is like fruit not just gives you freedom but also life considering Luffy's death. Could it be that machine was only made to use the power of the fruit? It is not like fusing any fruit with objects or animals in recent era, this fruit exactly gives its user ''life'' and freedom. This arc was fn awesome. I loved it. Zoro was MVP ( Most Vicious Pirate) again. Sanji power ups are amazing n the growth of Franky,Chopper n Robin were on point.

My only complaint is that there is no impact as shown in the manga when kaido hit to the ground.

The fleshed out kaido backstory was amazing. And the navy officers line of "he gets caught everytime he gets hungry" was great.

Big mom not being present at the God’s Valley incident was something I missed. Given her prime power, I feel like she would have tipped the scales in Rocks favor.

I enjoyed this episode a lot more than last episode (which I just couldn't get into, too much Wano flashbacks over the anime made it a bore fest for me). I'm hoping that the anime will go on a break soon. Maybe when Luffy, Kidd and Law are meant to split up, then the anime returns with a bang in the future. Its caught up too much with the manga and is dragging too many episodes. Its happened before but they need the quality to shine through for this final saga in the anime.

Some of these wano recaps have been emotional and good reminders but it is just to slow the pacing and im done with it, im ready to leave. If I see another tama flashback or OROCHI ever again im putting the anime down until egghead.

They f it up like every time they've had to do a fist clash against something. The animators are supposed to know some phisics. So sorry they didn't make an execption and rearranged the scenes to make them flow properly.

That scene in Kaido’s flashback on the boat and the person talking to him to go to godvalley, in the manga We thought that was a big mom based on the hat but in the anime, that’s a male voice and I’m pretty sure is the first time we hear rocks voice.
