They would have been completely annihilated, reduced to less than dust if it weren't for kafka Casualties, lives, infrastructure and so on Bro i can't even imagine what they would've had went through if kafka was not there to help them.
idk how people just miss the fact kafka losing control is the kaiju going into survival mode cause it thought it's going to die if it doesn't. It's is basic instinct to survive taking over
The part where the kaiju no 8 showed up in kafkas conscience he specifically said Kill, Kill, Kaiju Kill. Kaiju no 8 took control only to kill the director because kaiju no 8 thinks that the director is a kaiju because of No 2s gauntlets he's wearing.
Good point! i feel this kaiju hasIssues with Kaiju and that he been fighting Kaiju by taking people bodies seems like kaiju v kaiju could be a thing here. No.9 is his rival surely..
I've only finished this arc for the manga with the start of the next arc and then stopped so I can enjoy the rest as an anime. I wasn't disappointed with what I saw in the manga
The translation is a lot clearer in the manga, and what's going on here is that the symbiote kaiju in Kafka sees the director general as an enemy kaiju because he is using the #2 weapon (it says "kill.... kill kaiju" to him). It wants to kill all kaiju, which is why it is taking over here when Kafka tries to hold back and not hurt the director. So, 99% of the time, there is no conflict, as Kafka and the symbiote agree on killing the enemy "kaiju." As a manga reader, I won't comment on any of your predictions at the end, but season 2 is going to be crazy.
@@malachimortela3955 So far, they have kept very close to the manga, with just a couple weird translations. Given this, it isn't something that is going to be touched on again for a while.
I was thinking like Mel because to be fair when Kafka got his core exposed he was already in his Kaiju form so I expected his heart to look like a core, but it did throw me off to find out even in his human form his heart stays as a core
Kaiju #2 is the 2nd kaiju given a number. That's why he's kaiju #2. The kaiju in Kafka is responding to the equipment made from kaiju #2. It took over to defeat Kaiju #2. Episode 12 is the last of the season, and I'm seeing talk that a second season is already being made.
This episode covers chapter 33-36, all the extra scenes with the peoples reactions to kafka being a kaiju, and Hoshina saying he wants kafka back was all beautiful, the anime definitely beat the manga, can't wait for next week
yeah i agree that the extra scenes were good, but i prefer the kakfa and mina scene in the manga. I prefer the character designs in the manga over the simplified ones in the anime. Manga has sharper faces, anime smoothed them out. Think its cause the character designer for the anime is the same one that does boruto...
@@TheRoyalHatno wonder I get that Boruto feeling when I look at alot of the side characters. The only character that was done 100% justice in the anime is number 10. The vice captain is also OK but the rest.... expecially number 9 which is by far the worst adaptation
@@Anne-mn9fs they need to swap character designers for season 2, this anime adaption is so good but thats the only thing i dont like. To be blunt they should fire him ☠ i cant imagine looking at numbers weapon 6 reveal with this character designer.
The animation really went off this time The fight between isao shinomiya and Kafka is crazy When the kaiju no.8 took over kafka's body it was pure goosebumps
For those wondering, we couldn’t see the Director’s percentage because the suit itself is a weapon, he wasn’t wearing the standard defense armor. It’d be like expecting Kikorou’s battle axe to be able to tell us her percentage, it doesn’t work that way.
The thing is little kaiju guy got massive beef with other kaijus. The reason kafka lost control is because he is facing Kaiju no 2 technically. Kaiju no 2 was one of the strongest Kaijus even among identified class so yeah little guy got angry...p.s this is not a spoiler we dont know anything yet its just a major theory..
I like this version of the "monster within" trope because Kaiju No 8 is clearly just defending itself. Doesnt really seem to have any ill will, and its also only reacting to the Kaiju No 2 gloves. It feels most like Venom if I had to make a comparsion.
This has been a wild season and to finally see him lose control, even temporarily, is insane, especially against someone as strong as Shinomiya. It definitely raises questions about the kaiju, their origins, and how powerful some are. Personally, I have avoided the source material since I want to be surprised by where the story is going, I want to see Kafka and Kaiju #8 unify in their desires. We've seen where Kafka draws inspiration, but what about Kaiju #8's? And why, (preferably without people actually explaining it in replies), did Kaiju #8 state: "Found you," when they first appeared in the hospital room? Man, I can't wait for some answers. Feels like I'm back in early AoT all over again.
When you think about it is what Kafka is doing any different then what the defense force is doing with the suits and numbers weapon? Maybe the general is testing to see if Kafka can remain in control of his kaiju
In the intro, when you see that crazy kaleidoscope trick, we see the axe blades, the rifles, and I THINK, the Commanders 02 Guantlets, or the pillons on the back of them, AGAIN, I THINK.
The real kaiju no 8 took over because it senses kaiju no 2. It thinks kafka is losing to a kaiju so it took over to kill the kaiju but we know its gust the generals suit. Next episode is basically kaiju no 2 vs kaiju no 8 with the humans on the inside this time
The captain attacked Kafka precisely to prove a point. The point that Kafka can't be trusted, and he succeeded in proving that. Kafka genuinely lost control at the end. If this happens on the battlefield, he might attacks and/or kill his allies or civilians.
When Mina said nobody in the 3rd division thinks Kafka an enemy, that kinda gave some encouragement right there.I do agree with everyone else when they said that little moment between Mina and Kafka was heartwarming. On the outside, it may look like she doesn't care for him anymore, but she still sees potential in Kafka and will be waiting for him. All of left is for Kafka is to deal with the higher ups and hopefully Kafka will be recognized by her fully. Lastly, Ichikawa spoken up out of order shows a true loyal friend right there.
I'm pretty sure the Kaiju inside Kafka is running on instinct and doesn't wanna die so it took control of Kafka's body to fight due to Kafka not wanting to fight and I think personally the Kaiju inside has a grudge against other Kaiju's maybe????
Kafka and the kaijuuu inside him reminds me more of a parasitic relationship just like venom where the symbiote is weak without a host and it needs a host to fully manifest and with time he wants to take control over the host
Kafka’s kaijuuu reacts saying kill kaiju kill because director shinomiya uses kaiju no. 2 as a weapon. Where does really the kaiju originates, and why does the one who entered kafka said “i found you” like it detected kafka as a kaiju also. Maybe the kaiju who entered kafka contradicts with the highly intellectual kaijus that’s why it wants to kill other kaiju’s and he uses kafka because kafka is knowledgeable when it comes to kaijus.
Some have already said it but again, notice how inner kaiju said "kill. Kill. Kaiju kill" and not "human kill" making you ask the question "why does this kaiju want other kaiju dead?"
Its funny cause, the kaiju in kafka, is saying kill kaiju. I think the kaiju in kafka hates other kaijus, and its treating the general like an actual kaiju
It's not mentioned even in the manga what's his max release but considering what I have read so far his release is more than likely over 98% since a certain someone has that release who's basically his student more or less soo he either has 99% or very likely a 100%
This anime is Fucking fire! I have a feeling these Human kaijus have been around a long fricken time. The story is 11/10 I have a feeling the kaiju that has taken Kafka wants to kill kaiju like Black clover demon inside Asta maybe this kaiju was rejected by kaijus so then the kaiju ends up siding with the humans. getting black clover vibes from the kaijus I agree its very much like Black clover.
