#2 Kaiju was basically Godzilla. #2 was described as a God of destruction, has a big tail, shoots all-powerful laser from mouth in a straight beam that goes on and on untill it hits something, and punches mighty hard. Yup, totally a Godzilla.

Isao Shinomiya is voiced by Tesshō Genda, the same guy who voices Kurama from Naruto and Kaido from One Piece. That’s W casting right there. He definitely gives off Endeavor vibes for sure.

As a manga reader, this anime is completely satisfying me. Goddamn the action scenes are possibly crazier than I imagined them.

I like how all the guys in the unit were down to back Kafka. No, 'oh but he's a kaiju all this time' they know this guy, they fought with this guy, they're going to bat for him.

i really appreciate how the characters aren't being on some edgy sasuke shit or petty drama bs, they're just acting like adults and standing up for their homie, no CW show drama necessary, it's refreshing.

The translation here is a little strange (the symbiote kaiju says "kill....kill kaiju") and, basically, what is happening here is that the symbiote has identified the general as an enemy kaiju. It is less that Kafka has lost control due to being in flight or flight (which didn't happen against the vice captain), and more that he is trying to hold back against a kaiju, and his symbiote REALLY doesn't like that. He can easily hold back against a human because the symbiote kaiju doesn't want to kill humans, but numbered weapons give off massive amounts of identified kaiju energy. Ironically, the one being that hates kaiju more than the general is the symbiote kaiju inside of Kafka, so this entire fight is basically the spiderman meme--both sides think that the other is a kaiju.

I don't know why it's so hard to understand. It's not about Everyone knowing Kafka is innocent. It's about proving to the higher ups (AND THE WORLD) that Kafka isn't a danger and can control himself. Especially after finding out that No.9 can change into a humans. And of as right now, Isao is proven right that Kafka cannot control his Kaiju powers (yet)

Remember how No 10's giant form was strong enough that Kafka could sense it even in his human form? Yeah, No 2 is so strong that just the suit and gauntlets made from its body are enough to trigger Kafka's kaiju sense. And remember that all of their suits and weapons use kaiju parts, yet this is the first time one of them was able to trigger Kafka's sense.

Y'all know that the only reason you're saying this is because you got to know Kafka from his POV, they don't know him, they just got infiltrated by Daikaiju that can turn into a "human" and know they just found that a "Human" that can turn into a Daikaiju is now in on one of their Defense Forces, I don't think questioning them would be your first thought when you've seen the things you've seen in the how many years they've been in this Kaiju killing business. The reason I put "Human" is because in their minds who's to say the Kaiju is that smart, "use him as a living weapon" we've seen how that turned out in other anime. Anyways it's all based on perspective, who am I to speak/comment.

Kafka goes from being a Kaiju to being a demon. Fun fact : (This is no spoiler.) We don't know why the kaiju living inside Kafka wants to kill all other Kaiju's, or why he chose Kafka as he had said "found him" before entering Kafka. Even in the manga, since it is still ongoing and this is the only time we see that kaiju in the story other than the time it first appeared and entered Kafka in the hospital.

Man. Lupa was stressing out for our boy. Seeing him bob and weave the Director pulled up at th school and hearing him gasp at Kafka's transformation at the end was something I never would've thought he'd do. But knowing that the 3rd division still cares about Kafka is real wholesome

I figured that the kaiju inside of kafka would respond to the kaiju no 2 weapons as a challenge to see whos the alpha. Kinda like how Godzilla and kong were fighting to see who the alpha was. So i think the kaiju took over only for that purpose, to prove that hes the alpha.

The Kaiju in him recated like this because it thought he was fighting another kaiju. So I think this is necessary. If in the future, they use him to fight kaijus along with them, there might be a chance that he'll go berserk like this when encounter a Daikaiju and that'll be very dangerous to everyone if they don't know it beforehand. Now they have to find out wheher he'll be able to control it. If he is, then he'll be useful alive. If he's not, then he'll be more useful as a number weapon.
