These 2 kaiju are indeed a great match up creating a symbolic tale. As well as connecting it with the human characters side of the story. Symbolism has been a major component in Godzilla & other kaiju movies in general. So this is definitely a favorite & I hope to see more cool match ups like these in the future.

Someone asked me a while ago, but I don't remember who it was. Jin and Ryo in Dairanger, Yuri and Don Donero in Timeranger, Hayate and Shelinda in Gingaman, an now we can add in the ones from Donbrothers.

They totally ripped off Dai Kamishibai episode 2. I was sure I was the first to do this matchup, which is why I did it. I'm going to have to one-up this at some point.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork You know, considering how little interest Japan has in archiving any of their media, and how encyclopedic your knowledge of these genres is, I think you should seriously consider researching and writing more expanded versions of your reviews into history books for these various series and movies. I think they'd find a pretty big audience. As far as I can tell, the published sentai encyclopedias you can find on the market are just glorified screenshot collections. There may be a market demand no one else has the ability to tap into here than someone like you. Just a thought.

I've thought about it, but I just don't think I would have enough material (not to mention the funding) to do such a thing. Like I would love to do a book on Noboru Sugimura in a similar vein to August Ragone's Eiji Tsuburaya book, but there just isn't enough information about Sugimura available, at least for Americans to do. I'm not fluent in Japanese either, so I wouldn't be able to talk to colleagues and family members of him.
