Jiban had powerful plot armor he got so many thrashings. its amazing he did not get scrapped a lot.

Pedantic info (?): Correct translation of 'Kidou Keiji' is Mobile Detective, not Mobile Cop. Cops/Police don't do investigations, that job description goes to the 'detectives' position. Jiban is from Hindi. A male name meaning "Soul of life", or "Bringer of Life". After it was reported the movie was not included, I'm glad to hear it's there. FWIW, the Metalder box included its movie. Let's hope if Discotek releases this, they come through again.

What is your next review after jiban?

I watch this series two times only in 2023. Some background music are used in a previous Metal hero series, Daitetsujin 17, Gavan, Sharivan, Shaider, and Juspion, to avoid the series scary and violent.

Didn’t you review this series years ago along with juspion and winspector, the first part of rescue hero trilogy? Vaguely remember the lead is carefree as human, but serious as the metal hero.

Jiban and Janperson are not considered to replace RoboCop movie because of suffering violence and original RoboCop films are R Rated movies like Rambo and Terminator films.

some sweet monster designs and fights they really went the extra mile. The villains were not bad though some parts could have more done , still they fun. Though the foot soldiers just seem to be people wearing normal clothes that could be bought in bulk with the masks being the only thing they actually made. Jibans suit was awesome one of the best. Music was ok Some characters could have been written better. all in all the series was nice.

It seems like a lot of people give this show and RX a bad rap. In all honesty I love both shows, for me what really makes an awesome toku series is the rogues and I thought the baddies in Jiban were a lot of fun, plus I loved the robo Mickey Mouse sidekick lol.

I Guess You Could HEAD Canon That Giba Mouth Not Seeking Up With His Voice Could Be Do To The Head Not Being Real & Is Voice Isn't Come From The Human Head Showing He Not Human. It Maybe A Weak Excuses But It's something That Could Help With That Problem.

Jiban is a nice show...but I prefer Winspector for many reasons. Jiban was too dark to me in some aspects, you know, monsters etc. I didn't like the fact, that Jiban was't transformed. They always hiding it and not show that his second "body" (in Winspector it was clear, that his battle costume, not "body"). I think because of this element, Naoto must make fools of his companions. Jiban got hit very often, IMO he looked weaker than Winspector, so the fight scenes were sometimes irritating "why he don't use his weapons more often" - I thought many times. Antagonists, all of them were lame, I didn't like it. But, the big plus of Jiban to me is main cast. I really like Naoto and I fell in love in Yoko - it's a pity the screenwriters didn't make more interesting scenes between them. Naoto has got the potential to be more interesting character, and Yoko even more. At the other hand, I think there are big similarities of main cast from Jiban to Winspector. In the end it looks like this: Jiban is 7/10 to me and Yoko was my favourite from this series. Except some aspects like non-kids-friendly ambience, slow development of characters&story I watched with no regrets. Winspector is more dynamic, atmosphere was more related to my taste...but the main cast were worse. So, the best option is watch both.
