I honestly prefer Kaiserreich. Kaiserredux can be fun but I like having a WW2 between the Entente and Reichspakt vs Internationale and Moscow Accord. Rather than The Greater Liberian sphere vs The Lichtenstein pact

I personally love kaiserredux more than kaiserreich simply because kaiserredux adds more content and more cursed paths even though kaiserredux is poorly optimized.

Thanks for your opinions about both modifications, I like hearing what people have to say about Kaiserreich and Kaiserredux! On the topic of updates: Kaiserreich will soon realase an update for the Left Kuomintang and Kaiserredux will soon have Ukraine updated.

While kaiserredux does have a lot more updates then kaiserreich, I feel like they are shoddily put together leading to it running like shit while with kaiserreich the updates feel a lot more cohesive and things run a lot better. Also, I feel the paths in redux are more hit or miss with some being pretty balanced while others are just too overpowered and not challenging. Ps, do you have any proof that they deliberately deleted any pro Russian content for Ukraine because I can’t seem to find any proof from anywhere that the team did that.

I just like kaiserreich because it feels more realistic, you can take it seriously. Although it does not have a lot of content compared to kaiserredux, kaiserredux has content that for all countries that makes your game to unpredictable to take seriously. So if you wanna feel like you are playing in a world where Germany won world war 1, play kaiserreich. If you want to explore as much content as you can in a world where Germany won world war 1 then play kaiserredux

Regarding your comment about Kaiserreich only having two updates this year, the day after this video was posted, Kaiserreich released “Blue Sky, White Sun”, which reworks the Left Kuomintang.

Me personally I love Kaiserredux. It's paths are not as realistic as Kaisereich but it's way more fun in my opinion and it has so much more content. I love KX❤

I like KRX more because of content, replayability and updates also is more fun. People say its memey (its) but it adds more fun which what matters to me

Kaiserreich Team didn’t give Ukraine a pro Russian path because they said it would tip the balance in favor for Russia too much. Which doesn’t make any sense because if the Belgians, Dutch, or Swiss flip to syndicalism, Germany usually loses.

I usually play kaiesserich however like you said it's practically becoming an alternative vanilla version. Every playthrough is the same, practicality the only think that change the resoult of some of scripted civilwars such as the Spanish one. Of course sometimes you see half of the world changing ideology or faction steamrolling the othe factions. However if I'm not wrong before was imprevedibile, the fun thing of this modification was the imprevedibility of the whole senario. Also you have a focus tree for Buthan and not many comuntries more involved such Azerbaijan, Philippines.

I definitely like Kaiserreich. Kaiserredux is only usually (imo) liked because you can do really insane stuff. Kaiserreich is serious and more grounded in realism, like you can play as the German empire and win the 2nd and 3rd weltkriegs. you can play as a revolt in a racist American revolt and create a giant mega state that supports a sun god. Now, very different examples, but it shows the content you are getting.

Well I can understand their choice of not having a pro russian path if they don't want anybody to roleplay Ukraine joining Russia. Hoi4 has chosen to completely avoid atrocities within hoi4 even though they had a massive effect in the war. Germany had around 10 million slave labor to work with, building various things as well as working in factories. So historically speaking the game should have a ton of events for construction speed but reduced population, increase rebellion etc. but I think most people can understand and respect their choice. And that's about events that happened 80 years ago. As we speak today Russians are still committing war crimes in Ukraine, executing civilians, moving citizens to work in camps and stealing babies to increase their population at home. So I can understand why they're doing it.

Hey in my kaisereich game i pla ycombined syndicat of america and i only have the tree of commonwealth (no more Union of socialsit ameercia) is this because of war in ukraine that they remove that ? Because i saw in a old video someone playing USSA , i think i'm gonna try Kaiseredux to play it if it is . :)

The Communard in KX was buffed insanely in terms of manpower, whereas the KR weaken them a lot :((((

I overall agree with a lot of your criticism towards Kaiserreich but I think Redux's has a lot as well to have in mind. Of course I like both the mods but I cna clearly see issues with them, a long time between updates for KR might be bothering but remind yourself that their stuff is suppose to be 100% polished, with even unique mechanics and GUI which can be very hard to implement. As for the amount of content and updates that KX recived this year while being extensive doesn't provide the same campaign depth like KR, focus trees tend to focus around similar path designs and don't usually differ between eachother outside of bonuses and formables which can be cool.Performance wise KX modders probably need to strangle with optimisation since they release so much additional stuff which further burdens the mod, but I hope they will fasten it up in the future. Overall you have good points and I would still favor KX over KR but still it seemed like you focused mostly on KR problems.

I love Kaiser Redux too much but with the time of playing 6years in Kaiser Redux I can play a full 4 playthroughs in vanilla

i would LOVE to play kaiserrreduc more, but it isnt just that it runs slow (it does) is also that it haves a lot of crashes and the saves get corrupted by no specific reason. (even TNO is lighter) also i tought the same about ukraine, the natpop path focus tree is like: "we are ukraine we are ukranie!; lets claim territory that was never ours and still be the good guys! slava ukraini!"

I can't get Redux to make it past 1939 In every game I play recently I always hit a crash to desktop that prevents me from progressing and it is getting really frustrating.

I hate Kaiserreich now, as they are trying to play it safe making paths more "realistic"(in an already very unrealistic universe setting), which just makes it unfun to play. Kaiserredux on the other hand have more "wacky" paths, which is extremely fun.

Nice to hear your thoughts on the mods. I play kaiserreich base just cause I enjoy the optimization, even though my PC isn't a brick, but I definitely agree that the optimization has come at a cost of playable variety and a dynamicism rarely seen in Hoi4. Thanks for the vid!

I agree with you on the newest Ukraine update, not that I disapprove it, it's the mere fact that whether or not they decided to fully focus on Ukraine due to recent events is out of my knowledge but I found it very biased. Especially on their channels where they are calling out the Russians for something, which honestly some are deserved but I think it started to get more generalizing but this is different topics. Opinions even on politics aren't supposed to be a direction of something such as a mod that everyone plays, even both Russian and Ukrainians. Oh yeah about the Russia rework, I have a feeling that they delayed it also due to recent events so there's that ? I really hope KR didn't go into that path that TNO fallen in with the whole raycist thing or something. Forgive my lack of knowledge as I didn't really follow the state of both mod development and all their shenanigans, I'm here to play the mod not to make war online xd

I've played Kaiserreich it feels like a 100 years ago: there were Хрущёв in Urkaine, Goring in Mittelafrika, Makhno in France etc. One of my wierdest expirerences was: I've started a game of Ukraine, went down a pro-russian tree and I.... just lost the game... Like it was both fun and dissapointing. I felt sad seeing there is no pro-russian tree now in Ukraine. Всё-таки, исторически если предположить, то в Украине под немецким влиянием, то (особенно после чёрного понедельника) какой-то даже минимальный процент имел бы про-российские идеи. Согласен с автором, что удалять вполне логичное древо фокусов по соображениям современной политики -- это странно, да и делает количество возможных сценариев меньше. Ну и плюс мне авторы сказали, что поменяли старого правителя Ком.Франции чуть ли не по правилам кенсел-культуры (редактор КР-вики назвал его педофилом). Всё это странно, особенно учитывая, что игра про альтернативную вселенную всё-таки... Теперь, возможно, попробую KaiserreduX, хотя Kaiserreich всё-таки очень хорош и подарил очень много крутых часов...

I always liked KX more, just because of the sheer amount of great content. Like for France, Russia, Canada and soon, Ukraine. It obviouly runs worse because it has a lot more things in the mod than KR. KX is not for everyone and KR too

Kaiserredux is a lot more developed, kaiserreich has some heavy limitations on their focuses due to realism, while kaiserredux has lots of focuses, choices, secret paths, etc. While both are a good mod I feel like kaiserredux is far more better gameplay wise alongside content wise

Kaiserredux is very complex but i prefer it a lot more than Kaiserreich, however as an argentinean, it sucks to see my country still have the same focus tree in both mods, i hope kaiserredux does something about Argentina but overall. Kaiserredux has had more updates and more content, and it gives me the freedom to play almost any country in Kaiserredux with a unique focus tree. Great video, i think we all wanted this but never asked for this because we wanted you to play other nations first, the videos have way better quality than before definetly .

As an average Kaiserreich enjoyer, the lack of balkanization in Italy and the addition of a Kuban state (the latter I find as a weird addition to the universe) is whats nopes me away from redux. Plus I heard it has terrible optimization. And honestly, who gives a damn about the Reich devs including their political biases in-game? It doesn't change much imo and I just play it for a fun alt history scenario

I agree wholeheartedly about Kaiserredux being better than Kaiserreich Screw Realism, Screw forcing your modern day politics into this game (Though Kaiserredux removed Goebells so they're slightly guilty of this too, yes Nazi's are bad I think everyone and their mother and dog knows this by now) The only thing keeping me from playing it over Kaiserreich is the shoddy optimisation, its just too slow and clunky to play but the paths are so much more interesting and off the wall, no concern for this stupid tedious realism thing that everyone is obsessed with like it matters in a game where you can core the entire world as an anarchist commune in the basegame
