Nick is a professional and does not show his feelings although the circumstances were sad. (Although some "sparkle" in his eyes is missing, in my opinion).
@David Chatterton Thanks for taking the time to reply. If the person above is referring to the departure of Limahl as the reason why Nick would be feeling sad, I believe they are somewhat mistaken (though I'm sure it was complicated and there was probably some sadness/regret involved since things didn't work out as they'd all hoped), because in more recent interviews I've seen with Nick, it seems like Chris H. was becoming a "challenge" (nice way of saying he was perhaps a pain in the ass) to deal with to remain in the group and have it be a group of relatively happy campers. There are at least three sides to every story, Chris's side, Nick's side, and the truth (of which the probability is we'll never know the details...which is fine as far as I'm concerned). And besides, I don't see any missing sparkly eyes, only a lead pop singer who's working the song about a relationship that didn't turn out so well (I mean it's not like he's Morrissey or anything...who I happen to also like...and might be looking really morose/depressed). ❤☮🌎
Nick is such a thin white duke at this point in time (works for me). I do find it odd that they played on a number of shows for kids (we didn't really have anything like that in the states...at least I don't think so). Haven't seen this yet so glad it's posted...thanks!❤☮🌎
Wow... This video is REALLY RARE!!! I can believe i'm watching Kaja... All their video material are like lost in space... After that they decided to split up... Such a terrible moment...
@gimpdak It always amazes me how entertainers can go on with the show no matter what they are going through in their personal lives. It takes great talent to do that. It may have been a sad day but Thank You for going ahead and doing it, it is one of my very favorite videos of you. Peace!
They are having so much fun. You can see how they are feeling their music, and this was what impacted their audience. People were needing a boost then. Lines are drawn with differences and sometimes right to those things that matter. If all don't stand on at least those this is why many bands part ways for a time or permanently. We have to respect it. differenciating on some really hard establishments.
Oh okay, would have loved to have seen them back then. I live in North Carolina. I don't think they came here to tour, just New York and California I would guess...hate they broke up...
truthfully, this video makes me sad. this is a performance from a band that once rocked the world… on its last legs, with “lookalike” replacements for Stuart and Steve… utterly depressing, but I respect how Nick went on with it anyway
Don't all the people in the audience look "really happy" to be there....lol!!! I wud ave been so glad to be there, but I was only about 2 years old lol!! glad I got to see them in September tho :) xx
@@powerface71Well he did when it became a 4 piece-with other hit singles like:Big Apple etc with the hit album Islands then after that it went nowhere-Also Nick then formed the band Ellis, Beggs + Howard + enjoyed success in France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Holland Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, etc- He continued working with various artists and bands including Gary Numan, Alphaville, Belinda Carlisle etc etc thought all that was common knowledge so very confused
@@dirtydiscosecrets Yea Jez did leave in late 1984 but here there is no Steve Askew or Stuart Neale so is not Kajagoogoo is it-They were all in the music video though
What are you talking about? The band had several other songs that at the very least charted. "Ooh To Be Ah" and "Hang On Now" were in the top 20. "Big Apple" was a significant radio hit. Yes, they are today regarded as a one-hit wonder, but it is hardly "THE biggst decline" in pop music history. Compare it to actual one hit wonders like Rockwell or something.
@@LaidInRuinsDC The band declined MASSIVELY after the number one song. simple as. I didnt say they disappeared without trace 1 7 13 8 25 were the subsequent charting singles The follow up album reached 35
@@dlamiss Yes, I'm just saying that's hardly one of "THE biggest declines", considering there are artists who had number 1 hits and then never charted again period.
awful commercial fluff, you really must be a die hard fan to tolerate such low quality sell out the least "good" music Kajagoogoo were doing before was officialy dead and gone by then
lavinia langford I do beg your pardon, Got names confused..Yea course that is Nick Beggs-Singer + bass player I mean't the other two were not Stuart + Steve
