KaushikiJi, your charming voice can be more soothing if you work more on sentimental aspects than techniques. All recognize your perfect technique. But when you sing Kajri-like compositions, please feel the zeal and innocence of the village girl who with her friends is sitting on a swing and singing to her heart.

Shreematee Kaushuki Chakraborty is a wonderful singer and I am a true admirer of her singing as well as of her illustrious father. As an over eighty year olld ''kansen'' of Hindustani cClassical Music, and since 1947, listening to great vocalists like Ustad Faiyaz Khan, Pt. Onkarnath Thakur. Pt. Vinayakrao Patwardhan (who stayed at our Patna house for few days in 1948, and as the house hosted Pt. Radhika Mohan Moitra and Pt. Gnan Prakash Ghosh in1949) and so many other greats in concerts at Patna and Kolkata. can differentiate the appeal of the music dished out by the artists to their audience like me who are numerically more than the ''tansens'' . What I have noted that Shreemati Kaushiki emphasises more on taankari part while singing light classical songs like thumris than on the lyrics and the ''bhav'' they express ,which greats like Vidushi Siddheswri Devi, Begum Rasoolan Bai, Begum Akhtar, Vidushi Girija Devi gave due importance while singing. Hope, my comment will get her attention. Best wishes to her to reach the zenith which she can with her tremendous talent and training and teaching she receives from her father.
