the guy played as the sole winger in a side that couldn't win without him being the base of the model. he was basically the best player on the planet at this time, above messi and ronaldo in the prime. it is crazy to think he achieved this feat which no other existing player has in the ronaldo messi era
@@Al-ji4gd when i say winger, i meant that he was essentially the only legs in the side and acted as the outlet. he was basically a winger, striker and an AM plus, in order to be the best SS of all time (which he is), u need to be able to play wide at a winger level and he did
@@rahulsingbal7802 you're indian mate. do not dare try to discredit kaka's achievements. he grew up playing for sao paolo and everyone had equal circumstances there. he was simply the best player in the world during the era of messi and ronaldo being in their prime. show some respect to one of the greatest ever footballers to exist. easily top 20 OAT
In his prime Kaká was almost unstoppable. A central midfielder with his insane pace is rare even today, and the ease with which he shot on goal from any range was just ridiculous. He made it look so easy. Legend.
Kaka & Cafu link-up play was so good back in the day. Also, I never realized Milan played Celtic so many times in the Champ League. But those goals in the knockout stages against ManUtd were so special
4:52 United fan here, I watched this game live and couldn't believe my eyes. If one guy could give us so much trouble I had feelings we wouldn't make it through, and yes on the 2nd leg we got trashed 3-0. Like Torres his career cut short with injuries but during his prime he was unstoppable.
That _one spot_ a little outside of the box... That is Kaka's zone to score goals. Whenever I see other players score from that spot, I always say "Oh, he scores a 'Kaka' goal." Never once since I love a player as much as Kaka. I hope he's doing well right now.
Kaka was so good he moved from Brazil straight to that legendary AC Milan XI displacing Rui Costa. Him and Ronaldinho should have led brazil to a world title.
one his day? he was the best player in the world against ronaldo and messi in their literal prime. show some respect, he outperformed both of them and no other player in the history of football has managed to do this in that era till 2015 he was elite tier from 2000-2007. 7 years at the highest level of football is pretty much elite all round
@@temposetter1091 wth literal prime of messi and ron came before 2007? Tbh he's just a bit lucky messi and ronaldo wasnt born 1-2 year earlier. Good lad tho
it is annoying that kaka never got to snatch the second CL as that may have earned him another ballon dor, given he was clearly the saving grace of that team. seedorf clutched onto him when he scored vs united like he was milan's saviour and it says a lot about the respect he gives to him as a player, considering seedorf is probably of the best of all time too. with 2 CLs it would have easily ranked him a lot higher within the footballing world, and it's sad to see kaka wasn't the base of the world cup side in 2006, but football simply was based upon marketing, and tactics had very little importance. in 2006, brazil should have utilised a diamond to service for his ability to play second striker at the highest level of all time essentially. players like ronaldo, cafu, carlos, adriano, and even dinho with his physical decline being fairly obvious, should have based the model on kaka with him at 24 being absolutely at his peak of powers to carry them through clutch games like how france protected zidane. too much individual reliance is a curse and it costed brazil in 2014 too, with marketability running football in those days making it inevitable for kaka to truly stand a chance among such giant names. either way, cicinho playing RB over cafu at 36, while removing r9 or dinho would have certainly helped with midfield support as fresher guys like juninho didn't get game time either, which offered much more stability in a 3 over the recycled and stale 442. ze roberto, juninho, and emerson or silva would have been ideal in a diamond to top kaka as the AM and robinho LS, adriano RS with his left foot aiding a lot of support could have resulted in a win and cemented a much more concrete legacy if he was given that trust, which he proved to deserve not much later either way, his goalscoring in that CL campaign is at the very top for anyone of all time, scoring goals of great difficulty that showed his remarkable fear factor that he put into defenders, and his belief to genuinely score. guys like hazard and neymar lack true goalscoring ability, and this is what separates the elite tier, vs generational quality greatest second striker to ever play the game, and will take a lot to be topped in this category. if you ever were to build an all time 442 or 4312, he'd be in my 11 in a heartbeat and essentially the base of the side
@@Sanilonely no doubt. build a 442 around him and have prime berbatov as the striker, mouth-watering fluidity, transition, combination, and goal scoring threat
Agreed with the 2 UCL part. Had he replicated that 2007 season he would have been seen as a top 10 player ever in my opinion. I believe in his prime Kaká was the most complete player ever
not only that, he won his ballon dor while messi and ronaldo started regularly for their respective teams. that basically puts into perspective the very fact that kaka is one of the best ever players, and is in fact arguably better than both
because he didnt play for any of the 'branded' or 'marketed' clubs like man u, chelsea, arsenal.. you'd find more lampard, gerrard, scholes or henry fans but we all know kaka' was ahead of them
@@MrKaravaj exactly. Milan is much bigger club than ones I mentioned but because of good league branding and marketing somehow Arsenal, has more fans than Milan or Ajax. It’s a scam lol
As a tennis fan just exploring football, I get the impression of watching Roger Federer when I watch this guy. Such smooth movement and making it look easy.
That first goal was absolutely filthy, I don’t know anyone who even has that kind of finish in their locker in today’s game, guy actually placed a volley rather than smashing it🔥
He reached the final against Liverpool in 2005, a legendary match, but his team lost. Two years later he finally got his revenge after a legendary 2006-2007 season.
People are in awe of Kaka's pace and shot power which was amazing but what kids should study is his timing of runs into the box and positioning between the lines where defenders and midfielders aren't picking him up. That Milan team worked so well to create these scenarios for Kaka to collect the ball centrally in the final third with space. As a Man United fan they put on a masterclass against us
What a shame kaka didn't have a longer career at the highest level! He was one of the best midfielders at his peak and what a beautiful footballer and magician he was on the ball.
@@imperadoraurelianus5325 Neymar is a pro player and has a lot of skills 🔥🙌 but I'm not his fan because he has played for Barca and I'm a Real Madrid fan 😁
A true football fan should be able to appreciate all legends regardless of clubs, for eg as a culer i admire ronaldo fenomeno, Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Marcelo, Toni Kroos even tho they play/played for my direct rivals
prolly every brazil supporter of this generation's first love of football.we missed him and still miss him after such an early retirement.simply an amazing player ,love you, kaka
fact is kaka just had injuries. players like him at 6'1 were not designed to ball carry bc all the defendeds folded him regularly. his build was remarkable and he surpassed messi and ronaldo to ballon dors while they were well within their primes
Remember celtic goal was good feeling after a long energy drowning 117 minutes ( on teletex ) of football and kaka scored and milan went through . (No free football on itv on Wednesday). To this day nobody knows where he got his energy from after that😅 late night.
