I love Kakimori inks. When I first discovered them I didn’t realize they were about to revamp their color line. I fell for two colors- Lichen and Sand Castle lichen was a grey green that was the perfect urban sketching color. Sadly, when I went to order a bottle, it was all gone. I still mourn that color. Great waterproof inks. I keep them in a well sealed pen that I can completely take apart and clean, like TWSBI.

I just discovered these through Wet Paint, but would love to have seen those old colors. What kind of pen do you have?

@@owingsart I have a couple of TWSBI Ecos- great because they can be completely disassembled for cleaning, as well as a couple of TWSBI Gos- not quite as easy to clean, but not too bad. I have never had an Eco dry out on me, which is great with pigment inks, even leaving the ink in them for a long time. The Gos will occasionally dry out- the seal isn’t as good. I also have a few Pilot Plumix - these are now discontinued, but they never dry out! They have a weird shape, and a screw on cap. I had some pigment ink in one for over a year, and it just made marks every time I opened it. Extremely lightweight. And a few Kaweco Sports, they also dont dry out very fast.

@@starr-starr I have some Kaweco Sports but haven't tried these inks in them. I have to try the Eco based on your recommendation here. Thank you!!

You could still try to recreate those discontinued inks from the Kakimori make your own ink option! They make custom pigment inks to order and you can do it online as well.

@@jartecus I missed out when they brought the ink studio to Yoseka, I totally would have done that. I have mixed some of my won colors with the inks I have.

Very interesting, guess it would be normal to say I love the blue. So glad you are trying new things and we get to see.
