They did Krillin dirty in this tournament. He was so fire in his training match against Goku… Also, the fact that they made him develop x100 Solar Flare just to match him up against the blind opponent…

The reason you see him spam Blue is bc it allows for perfect ki control over a larger margin of power than SS. Remember, it’s perfected SS stacked ON TOP of SSG. In blue, Goku can drop his ki to nearly deadly levels, and ALSO raise it to godly levels. In perfected SS, he can do almost the same, but it’s restricted to his non godly power. So since blue is better in every way it’s like.. why would he think to use SS yk? It would just make it look like he’s disrespecting his opponent to their face
But most of all, it’s a martial arts respect thing I believe at least. That’s why he used it against Krillin. Goku doesn’t tend to disrespect fighters outright when it’s not warranted
I can't believe that it only now occurred to me that Krillin using a stanky shoe to knock out an opponent is actually a pretty subtle callback to some of his fights in the world tournament back in og Dragon Ball.
Zeno's power goes beyond power, they could nullify fliying techniques, they could easily nullify freeza power, he is admin mode, can't do anything about it with raw power

The berserk transformation of kale is similar to broly's as the form will keep increasing the strength to over power the opponent but at the cost of their focus
The reason they disallowed killing is because it would end too quickly and Zeno wouldn't be entertained. Also, Saiyan forms are just power multipliers. The universe 6 Saiyans just have a higher base power level
I think it was showcased earlier, but with the 100x Solar Flare, it doesn't matter if your eyes are closed. The light is so intense that even through your eyelids, it's blinding. Try looking at a lamp with your eyes closed, you can still tell that there's light there.
Don, goku achieved ssj3 in the afterlife. In the afterlife goku had infinite stamina and energy to train with, stamina that he would definitely not have in his real alive body. It drains too much energy and stamina its not efficient at all. Unless ssj3 was his strongest form there’s no need to use it. He has stronger forms that drain less energy than ssj3. The hair on ssj3 also takes a lot of time and work to draw and animate. But your argument on super sayain god (red) still stands. I also wish we got to see it more. One of my favourite forms.
The reason Goku doesn't like to use SSJ3 is because it drains his stamina way too much. It's just a not very efficient form. But I agree he should go Red more often and not straight Blue.
If you were wondering, berserk Kale, while extremely strong, *isn't* as strong as a full power blue goku. Goku simply held back. Blue is kind of the easiest form for him to hold back in. Also, super saiyan 3 is by far the worst for him to use in battle. It is extremely draining on his stamina, even moreso than that of stronger forms like God and blue as far as I know
Sidenote: Vegito was used against Buu and Zamasu in the show. Gogeta was only in the Dragon Ball Z movie. Therefore, its not cannon. Goku and vegeta have Never EVER used the fusion dance to become Gogeta in Canon. (at least not at this point in the series)
Technically, the Legendary Super Saiyan form is actually called "Berserk state" It's only been shown in the Broly Z movie and even then, it wasn't canon to the timeline of DBZ. But the other time it was shown is the Broly Super movie, with the newer Broly that is canon to the DBS timeline.
Zeno was gonna wipe out all of the universes including 7th but because Goku gave them the tournament Idea they got a chance to fight to survive. Even when he's the villian this man is still a hero
Don don’t be expecting to see SSJ3 it’s probably the worse form Goku could use. Also Broly in those movies wasn’t canon so they have never met Broly until the Super Broly movie

He can't Kaioken with any SSJ because the energy is too erratic. If he does it, it would destroy his body. Kaioken works in Blue because Blue is all about controlling your energy and keeping it "serene". So it won't destroy his body.
the difference between super saiyan 1-3 and the god forms is Blue is a mastered version of god. goku explains his ki is more under control and hes not wasting energy when he is in blue form( more refined red). it doesnt take as much out of him to be in blue as it would in god.
God isn’t used as much because it’s based more on speed which is why he looks smaller and leaner when in that form but blue is based more on raw strength which is why he uses it more because it gives him more power
it is called super saiyen 2 for simplicity, but the actual name is Ascended Saiyen (as said in Buu saga), similer to how Super Saiyen Blue is the simple version and the actuall name is Super Saiyen God, Super Saiyen, so calling it Super Saiyen 2 is fine. Also SSJ 3 looks cool but sacrifices so much stamina for speed and power.
He never was. None of the Z movies were canon at any point, Super Broly was the only movie to be created as a canon entry. The movies take place in a separate reality/timeline, which is actually significantly stronger than the normal/canon one.
no one likes how dbs just spams the blue transformation, but from the fight it's clear that kale is stronger than blue, and obviousl jiren much stronger than that, goku jumping straight to blue is not an issue for powerscaling in this particular case I think.

Don because Kaioken is an energy amplifier and Super Saiyan is fueled by rage, being Super Saiyan and adding Kaioken on top of that would end fatally for Goku. He explained how SSJB is the easiest form to control your ki when he fought Hit. Because even in SSJB Goku was already facing complications adding kaioken.
side note: Goku cannot use Kaioken reliably with any form other than blue at this stage. it's stated that blue has perfect ki control and that level of calmness in his ki allows for it to be amplified with Kaioken without destroying his body. the same can't be said for Super Saiyan or any of the other forms, due to their unlocking being usually through intense emotions of some kind. this is the reason why the only time Goku was able to use Kaioken with Super Saiyan (the only instance of Kaioken that isn't in his base form or blue) was during the otherworld tournament against Pikkon, during which time Goku was dead from the Cell games. this meant his body wouldn't feel the severe strain it otherwise would. Goku being dead is also the reason he was able to learn SSJ3 in the otherworld and use it against fat Buu, but was struggling to hold the form after his resurrection. it drains too much energy, straight up.
Them getting erased is worse than death because their whole literal essence is being erased like they have no soul or anything after . Its basically like they never existed at all . Also Krillin's 100x Solar Flare is supposed to fully blind them even when their eyes are closed . Like when he used it against Gohan when they were sparring before the Tournament . And no Broly in DBZ wasnt canon at the time . He was a movie character but back in this times the DBZ movies from movie 1 up to movie 13, weren't canon to the actual DBZ shows timeline . So in actual DBZ from the Saiyan Saga up to DB Super and the Beerus and Golden Frieza movies, their all canon to the timeline of DB . Also he cant uses Kaioken with SSJ, only SSB
Ok..... You say you want to see Goku use another form yet in the tournament ALREADY, we have seen him use his base, super saiyan, super saiyan 2, AND super saiyan blue, and that's only in the first few episodes of the tournament. Goku CANNOT use Kioken with his other forms as he explained when he fought Hit at the Tournament, Blue is all about power through extreme control, blue gives him perfect control of his energy which allows him to combine Kioken with it. He can't combine Kioken with any other form because he does not have the Ki control to maintain it like he does in Blue,. Blue is the only form he can combine it with. Also because Blue gives him such good control of his energy, it is the perfect form to use when testing out opponents power, as he can control his energy to the exact amount he needs, which is why he uses it to test out Krillin, Gohan and 17 before the tournament. Super Saiyan 3 would be EASILY THE WORST form to use especially in a Tournament like this, SS3 takes a MASSIVE amount of stamina and power to maintain making it easily the worst form he could use. It is not suited for long fights and therefore rarely appears as either the enemy is too strong for it, or Goku does not want to waste his energy. Also Whis explained that Goku can't keep using his full power (Blue) in every fight as he has to think strategically about how he allocates his power, so he can make it to the end. If Goku keeps using his full power off the bat, it will drain him, and when he eventually gets to the strong fighters like Top, Hit and Jiren, he will be at a major disadvantage. God does show up in this tournament so you will be happy to see that. But please for the love of god, pay attention to the show, and you will see the questions you keep asking over and over have already been answered. There has been explanations as to why he doesn't go full power straight away, there is a VERY obvious reason he doesn't use 3, he has already used 3 different forms in the tournament already, and God is coming. So please please please stop complaining and saying the same thing over and over and over, its ruining your reactions for me.
Goku doesn’t use Super Saiyan God because he doesn’t like that he needed help to get that form. He trained to get Blue so he probably has more pride in that form
Super Saiyan 3 drains so much energy it basically drains life and time energy, per DBZ Majin Buu Saga rules. It's powerful but counter-productive when God forms exist. Kaio Ken is a god technique too, Goku learned it from King Kai (North Kai) and we haven't seen any other character in the DB cosmos use it.
He’s not using s. sayian 3 because it drains his energy faster than his other forms. Also from my understanding s. Saiyan red is he has more speed but less control of god strength where as blue is more controlled/perfected.
The first use of Super Saiyan 2 as a name for this transformation was against Majin Buu (Fat) before showing the Super Saiyan 3. Before that yes it was called like "the level beyond the Super Saiyan" or something similar (I don't have the quote).
Broly was non-cannon and movie only for years. Dragon Ball SUPER: Broly was the first time a version of Broly became canon so no they never had seen a Legendary Super Saiyan before Kale
29:49 no. As of dragon ball super timeline- they havent encountered brolly yet. The z movie is not really canon to the timeline. The DBS movie is his new introduction to the franchise and is canon
3:27 Don makes a good point. These universes need time to develop. Let’s take Earth for example since we don’t have any other planet to compare. Hominids have been around for about 2,000,000 years. We humans began to emerge over 500,000 years ago. Homo sapiens have been around for about 300,000 years. We became the only surviving human species roughly 15,000 years ago. We only started using metal tools around 5,000 to 8,000 years ago. We only industrialized 200 years ago. Then in the past 125 years we have gone from horses, to cars, to airplanes, to space shuttles in rapid succession. We aren’t at the level of technology seen on Earth in the Dragon Ball series just yet but we are advancing quite rapidly now. So it seems like having 2 - 3 million years is a good amount of time to see if any species can raise the overall power level of any given universe.

Z Broly aint cannon. They did things differently then. 2018 movie cannonises him when "expanded universes" became popular. Vegeta learns of Broly post ToP. Broly contests ssj2 Gogeta... Gogeta. Kale is an intro. Forget power levels, power levels are no longer relevant with god ki... he goes blue in short bursts for a reason; for now. Keep watching.
For fucks sake dude stop bitching about god and ss3. They are weaker froms that are worse than blue in every way. They dont save energy and can't output as much. Honestly, with the amount of control he has in blue, he shouldn't even bother with ss1.
Goku hasn't used kaioken with regular super Saiyan forms because the technique actually requires perfect ki control which he can't do with regular super Saiyan due to the emotional turmoil that comes with SSJ. SSJ Blue let's him use kaioken for longer because god ki is calm and significantly less taxing than SSJ which is fueled by rage.

Apparently, the reason Goku spams blue so much is because author Akriya Toriyama wanted to make it easy to draw because he is so used to drawing super sayen
Goku’s relationship with Caulifla & Kale is similar to Vegeta’s with Cabba. The more you watch the more you’ll see it’s more like a teacher and student relationship. Goku and Vegeta aren’t used to other full blooded Saiyans at this point in DB canon wise at least unless they were enemies, but those aren’t canon. So Goku and Vegeta seeing Universe 6’s Saiyans with the potential they have they try to help and associate because they never had that chance with their Universe Saiyans. It’s a big teacher student relationship thing.
SSJ3 is very draining. It's good, but has draw backs. Blue has no draw backs. Blue is red when achieved on one own. Red is when the power was when first achieving the form by being given the power.
