A true man of wisdom. All he cares about is being a master farmer, he doesn't bother himself with theoretical questions like "what's Oklahoma?" and "who's Moses?"
Kaleb may not know where or what Oklahoma is, but that's fair enough. It's not like I know where Whitshire-upon-Dimpley is, or whatever names they have all over England for their various cities/towns/villages.
I’m not a farmer myself, but over the years I got to know one or two. Let me tell you this; these lads are savvy business men, they manage production, distribution and the commercial side of things. We need to respect farmers, pay them a fair price and appreciate what they contribute to society. ✌️
@Adam Ford Yes, it's brilliant. The only problem is I don't live in an English speaking country. It feels a bit over the top going to Britain, out on the countryside and spend enough time there to be able to use it.
@@Fireclaws10the term "salt of the earth" has nothing to do with education. It is used colloquially to mean a good and honest person but originally is from the Bible. 🙄
@@Fireclaws10 "I'm doubt he actually went to school" - Excellent control of the English language there. Besides, that doesn't have anything to do with the expression "salt of the earth" I don't think that expression means what you think it means.
@@matbroomfield calm down, try watching the show and you'll realise it was Clarkson who got his massive tractor stuck and had to get Kaleb to help him out.
Love the dynamic between these two, Kaleb is so far outside his comfort zone being filmed with a millionaire celebrity, surrounded by all the circus of a large TV production, shows no sign of nervousness or intimidation at all, and is perfectly happy to call Clarkson an idiot. And kudos to Clarkson for letting someone else be the expert in the room (field), and recognising the comedic potential of the role reversal.
Loved every minute of this programme both educational and funny at the same time.. and JC isn't frightened to get his hands dirty and show all the warts and all..
I think Jeremy actually brings the best out in people. The whole thing is comedy gold. All of them play a part and they are all entertaining. Jeremy has done it again!
thats the magic of Clarkson and his friends ;) i was learning english growing up on top gear - best fckin show ever xD, from UK of course, seen some of those todays clones... nah :/
He managed to piss Kaleb off in the same exact ways in which he always used to piss James May off.. some things just never change, do they. And that’s why we love Jeremy
@@dieselpunk4117 Gerald was the one you needed subtitles for. I was just screaming with laughter as Jeremy pretended to understand, his face was a picture.
I love that he has no idea where Oklahoma is. But then again 99.9% of Americans have no idea where Gloucestershire or The Midlands are, or wherever he is from, so only fair. Also a word of advice to Kaleb don't EVER come to Oklahoma or Texas or any of the plains states unless you enjoy 100 degree weather, EF-4 or EF-5 tornadoes, massive rotating bug infestations and sweltering humidity.
We got stuck behind a tractor today ... and because we watched this wonderful, heartwarming series, we didn’t actually mind !!!!! It’s given us a whole new respect for farmers and their lives xx
There was a realism to this show that had gone missing on grand tour. Please Jeremy, don’t add the silly orchestrated stunts in. Realism is what people want
It’s because the Grand Tour has to appeal to international audiences (e.g. America) so the spark which made old Top Gear so good was lost in over exaggerated shite. This series seems to go back to basics and it’s class 👌
Top Gear was also staged, but it wasn't so obvious. Ok sometimes James May really didn't die but they went too far with that in the Grand Tour. Sometimes it almost felt like they didn't really do anything and just went from scene to scene.
Think they started off that way with the Lamborghini tractor. But soon realised the challenge itself was big enough and just let nature take it's course. They obviously still try to over do things, but is so much more natural.
The nicest, truest, funniest lad on any TV show I've seen in years. Kaleb, I wish you and yours the happiest life ever. You brought joy into mine. I so hope to see you on something again real soon my man
I don't think Jeremy ever thought what an entertaining duo they are. They both speak their minds and they both have totally opposite lives and knowledge, it is great to👍 watch.
@@bradwhite5884 would be funny, but sadly I doubt that will happen. It's currently on display at the top gear museum, it would take a lot of negotiating to get the permission to use it for filming
11 years of education has tought him nothing, but his love of farming has taught him everything he needs to know. some people would call that a tragedy.
Yep.The five years of secondary school I had was almost entirely filled with misery, bullying, and learning irrelevant or useless things that no job will ever use.
@@hubertdenise3100 Same, and now I’m happier than ever being book dumb but job smart. I know everything about my manual job, but have a reading and writing age of a 15year old (I’m over 30). It’s not all about knowledge it’s how you use it! Hope you’re doing well and your years of school haven’t stuck with you because there is more out there! 🤙🏻
Honestly if can read and do simple math that's all schools can offer to a student. After finishing college you're most likely spend more time unlearning the crap they teach you there than learing the actual job.
@@ozmobozo if you are badly uneducated you aren’t going to learn how to think and what to think about, education provides a lens through which to view your world that you can choose to use or not. but it’s a very useful tool.
@@ozmobozo only true if you take one of the make a wish degrees If you actually think a engineer spends any time unlearning their classes you just prove you couldn't hack it in higher education. Which is what everyone who rags on higher education fails to grasp: academics can go do you jobs and learn them easily in a year or two. A working stiff can't ever figure out Physics no matter how long they spend on it. Which is why people with degrees run shit 😎
They couldn't have found a better bloke than kaleb to work with Jeremy. He literally doesn't give a shot about who Jeremy is to anyone else he just wants the farming done. Brilliant. Kaleb is a naturally funny bloke and I personal am gutted I've watched the whole series I can't wait for series 2
Every time I watch Kaleb, a sensible and grounded farmer, and Gerald, the man who speaks in mysteries, I feel well entertained. I like people who know what they are doin' and these two are just so much themselves. They are hilarious! Then this urban half wit turns up and I wonder whether that elderly man has paid for being on screen? 😀
Kaleb is like an alien from a planet that only cares about farming and haircuts who's crashed here and is at a complete loss about the world around him.
@@TopPodCastClipsYT learn to respect other peoples options and comments rather than being down right rude. It’s Amazon Uk that films this series (YES SERIES)
My name is Kaleb! From the US but spelled the same! Doing our name proud, not taking shit, salt of the earth, doing your job, and giving jabs. 'That's straight as a roundabout!' Well done you glorious bastard.
Clarksons farm Absolutely fantastic. Love nature knoo nothing about farming this was so educational cantcwait to the 3rd series. Had a tear in my eye at the end of 2nd series . Love you kalib
But I gave up watching the Grand Tour as it's repetitive crap (my opinion that will not resonate with many others I know). I don't know WHY I watched this - BUT it's absolute TV GOLD. Do this and ignore Hammond and May. Kaleb is funnier than May. And Gerald makes more sense than Hammond.
I like how Clarkson doesn't laugh and explains who Moses is. The lack of reading skit became serious and he probably knew laughing would become bullish.
I loved the part about him going to London. I would really enjoy a series where he travels the world and marvels at everything. If London is foreign to him I can't imagine how he would feel about James May's experience in Japan.
I am not going to lie, this is one of the most humbling hilarious comedy drama duos of modern English television. Beautifully captured and painfully honest. Recipe for success, congratulations Clarkson and Co.
