We (the Bama faithful) are supportive and putting that support behind the players, coaches and administrators. This is early, both DeBoer's tenure and the season but THIS is unacceptable. The penalties. #75, why did he play in the second half? Lack of depth? Message you sent him, the fans and future opponents, we don't have depth and no fear for the players. Hold on 5 str8 plays, you stay in. Damn! But this beef, I watch DeBoer. I thought Mike Shula was stoic. Never got mad, never animated with the players. Never saw him address the offense when they were off field. He argued a few calls, several holds were questionable but no visible adjustment seen to the this officiating crew. Totally beat on offense. As for the defense, USF was flying around like we did last week, it like they switched uniforms. Their blitz package, wow. Unstoppable. If I could have I'd traded coaching staffs at half time. Loved USF's aggressive pay. We won cause they went away from Brown running the ball. I understand, no sense in getting him killed for one game victory, ots a long season and for them all their goals are still ahead of them. I'm afraid DeBoer is gonna lose the fan support if he follows the example of a Mike Shula or Mark Richt, nice guys need bot apply for this brand of football. Let's see! The same team that laid the same egg last year against this opponent came together later to beat a very good UGA team so do that again. Roll Tide!
A lot of things to work on. They looked poorly coached last night, that was my biggest takeaway. But that's what makes me feel okay today, cause I know the staff is a very good one and I have confidence they'll get it fixed. The offense, man, whew they were bad. Get the line working and RUN THE BALL.
It wasn't coah deboer...the guys simply didn't execute the game plan and it definitely wasn't deboers fault with the dumbass penalties...the game plan was there and when they executed it correctly it worked...the score would have been 60 if the touchdowns weren't taken away for holding....Fromby....i can see how we are going to be a dangerous team...and shout out to our defense... they did a great job
All of that is the head coach's responsibility. They looked incredibly sloppy on offense and It looked like they had no real game plan. Jalen kept throwing the ball deep, we never set up the run, and the offensive line was horrible, whether with penalties or just plain bad blocking. All of that falls squarely on Deboer. Bama looked like they were poorly coached last night. They gotta get better.
Milroe is a better running back than a quarterback. Im a lifetime Bama fan, but since Milroe became a starter, he has scared me to death! Simpson is a better quarterback.
Saban's first year was a struggle. Give the new coach a chance and will get better after all the hoopla about Saban wears down and the media focuses and report positive things. Give the new coach, like Saban, was given a chance.
I remember the TV showing the OC for one of the disastrous plays and you could plainly read the OC’s lips as he was yelling “Are you f*cking kidding me?” so the staff gets it and hopefully corrects it. I guess it is part of the HC job to try to make lemonade out of lemons but there needs to be HUGE IMPROVEMENT NEXT WEEK @Wisconsin.
