Here I'm showing a Kali clinch over hook and factoring in that it's fighting not grappling. They're going to be trying to punch me. I sector and put pressure on the arm with the over hook. This stops most stuff but just in case I put my hand on their chest so it's easy to pick up any incoming punches. Then we turn this into a flow drill because I want to get repetitions both sides. If I just wanted to capture and strike away I could do that too. However learning to flow is the essential. All fighting is about adapting. Can you see the JKD principles at work here. Simplifying it all down so I've got time and position. Simple, direct and effective. Enjoy. If you want to learn the details of this and lots of other stuff and become truly effective.
