This documentary aims to explore the benefits Filipinos reap from the rich marine life and natural resources that can be found in the Philippine Rise. This documentary will present the Philippine Rise through the eyes of the municipal fisherfolks who rely on this seascape for livelihood and the Filipino scientists who dedicate their time and effort to study and explore the Philippine Rise for scientific advancements and discoveries that will benefit the country.
As part of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month celebration, the DENR Biodiversity Management Bureau, and the People’s Television Network Inc. has collaborated in producing three different documentaries featuring the Philippine’s Priority Seascapes. One of which is the Philippine Rise Marine Resource Reserve.
