Iam so proud of this man and his team! I was able to watch Connie race his rail cars, back in the day. Wow has he done something with his life! Thank you for this.
My daughter cannot WAIT to graduate and come work for you. I dont know what y'all showed her or told her when her welding class came to visit, but she came home pumped and couldn't stop talking about everything she saw. She was super impressed to see all the women doing the hands on work. Anyway, thank you for showing my baby girl whats out there and possible for her.
That's just beautiful to hear, Stephani! I just saw one of these big ol 4 engine planes flying waaaaay above my house so I looked it up on a flight tracker on my phone and saw "Kalitta Air" going from Chicago to Houston. I'd never heard of Kalitta Air in my life, pretty awesome to learn about one more link in our cargo chain that helps us get what we need when we need it! Tell your daughter that some stranger on the internet believes in her
My goal is to move back up to the Oscoda/Tawas area in the near future and work for Kalitta again. Enjoyed working there in 1994/95 when it was American International Airways.
When his son, Scott, died in a Funny Car crash caused by a blower explosion that resulted in a huge fire that burned his parachute and he went into the sand trap and retention net at 300 mph, I was so crushed for his dad. Was so sad. Scott was a big name in NHRA drag racing. Was a major loss.
That was a great over view video of the company, even found out I've been pronouncing the Company name wrong. I'd like to see a history of the video, with some of the early planes from the old American International Airways days and maybe Mr. Kalitta's orginal Cessna 310. My interest has been piqued, due to the fact, I am making a history video of a former Kalitta 767-300ER(F) (that's now with ABX for DHL), and I am having a hard time coming up with material and images for the company history section of my presentation. Keep it you all.
