This is fun! We are so happy to have sangeetadevi as a reviewer, she is so refined in her analysis and prema lacks nuance in her interviews. Ram venkat srikar is a rockstar undoubtedly.
What do you mean nuances.. her analysis & explanation of mythological events were so good. Her analysis is so relatable to a normal audience like us. Everything doesn’t have to be looked at lens so deeply. Everything is not technical.. movies are a package of rollercoaster ride for audience. This movie analysis by Prema is really good. If you know Mahabharata you would understand that she explained so many nuances.
@@sai6275 I know Mahabharata very well, she said vasudeva crossed sea, but it's river. As far as her nuance in screenplay, film knowledge and deep understanding of the craft of cinema, she is a total zero. Sangeetadevi is a member of the prestigious critics guild of India, you can gauge her stature.
@@tyagarajakinkara So you just caught one small thing & judging someone.. Sangeetha is part of guild doesn’t mean her opinions are source of truth.. Prema is a film journalist & she is an audience like any other. Just because she is not talking technical terms like Sangeetha, doesn’t mean she lacks knowledge. Her views on this & even her interviews are very sensible & reflects common audience, everything shouldn’t be seen too technical & logical especially while enjoying a movie. A group of people is a group of different mindsets & that’s how a conversation can be interesting. Prema is clearly representing a common audience here with her share of experiences & what’s wrong in that. Instead of being negative about someone, providing a constructive criticism would be nice.
Ram ; please don't bring premamalini ever for a detailed film review with all the nuances! Bring sangeeta devi garu always, because she is a great critic and not just a reviewer! She is a treasure of Telugu movie reviews.
Kudos to Prabhas for accepting the film where he is shown in negative side and giving others for major scope, i really liked his comic side , slang which before bahubali we have seen. Also dishapatsni prabhas part he is introduced to the complex and disha patani tells about some energy source, may be it will used by prabhas to his advantage later
I felt Nag added comedy more because of satisfying all sections of the audience. It is a big money involved to reduce the risk. Please note down mass audiences are not used to this kind of cinema. He has balanced very well to satisfy all sections of audience overall in the movie as a whole. I agree with Prabhas role that it was only entertainment to satisfy kids without proper depth. Only it raised in climax . Overall I'm satisfied. Major lead in India in technology credit goes to Telugu cinima. Proud of it.
True B C centres ki out and out Mahabharatham is fine But that won't pull international audience And if international Audience are satisfied our Mass people will be disconnected .
Prema garu and Sangeetha garu, two diplomatic and sensible critics who give feedback without demeaning the film like cheap RU-vidrs. Good initiative , RVS.
This movie is for repeat watch I watched in Single screen, IMAX, Prasads PCX 3D Each experience is different And each time first half added more value for me And second half gave me more details .
Shambhala was the biggest disappointment for me. It wasn’t established at all. It’s history, its lore, how cultures intermix there, how the place came to be in the first place, and all. The characters in shambala too had no connect at all. So when the attack on shambhala happened, it just didn’t hit me. Like take the attack on maahishmati, we’ve spent time in that city, we’ve seen the struggles of people, we know its history and all. So when an attack on it, you actually care for the city and its citizens. But shambhala asla establish avvadu, we have t seen the normal ppl of shambhala, or its military, or its structure or hierarchy, etc. so you just don’t care. Hence the speech by veteran doesn’t hit you.
Among all the innovations in this film, surely crafting iconic roles for Amitabh and Kamal at this stage of their careers when they have done everything there is to do in acting, is the most remarkable. Only a Telugu filmmaker can do this, because the Telugu states act like a bridge between North and South and have a deep appreciation for both the magnificence of Bachchan and the accomplishments of Kamal. This combination may never happen again, so we owe thanks to Nag and his producers for making this happen at the right time.
Perfect. 100% I agree that first half is a misfire, just 20-30 mins changes to the script in first half could have changed whole movie pattern. I thought movie is gone around pre interval time.. but things started changing slowly… and by the end of the movie it peaks so high. This movie almost took bottom of the sea to sink.. and then lifted up until mountain high.
you guys are so biased yaar there are lot of things that could have been better: dialogues, editing re recording transition from one world to another world was not seemless
The music is too unconventional but way too good... since its something new for us it kinda went off the presence... but watching it with really good audio surround, or in calmer environment the music will show the impact

Yes I agree abt wasting time in first half for the cameos and not establishing Shambala, the core emotional element of Kalki..still it was compensated with great screen presence and performance from Shobhana Such a nuanced performance which brought in the much needed gravitas…
Thoroughly enjoyed the convo ❤ after listening Prema garu references to Mahabharata in kalki, i regret not knowing it before.. could have enjoyed the movie more with those connections 😅 eagerly waiting to c who will be kalki 😂❤
I agree on your review as a matured adult. But kids are loving the first half. I think sometimes we need to watch the film as a kid suppressing the maturity. Only then you can enjoy films .
Commercial success ensures continuation of the film and become a franchise. First half is mostly fan service. The number of tickets critics buy will take the movie nowhere. Please give nag ashwin a break. Never a dull moment in the movie.
Sangeetha should question whereabouts of Padma, and Bhairavi who were introduced in earlier days. Why did Padma become Sumathi and Bhairavi become rocksy
But still northies are bashing that director did hero worshipping and created scenes for prabhas fans..🤔 He literally appears after 30 odd mins and Amitbah had meaty role..donno why they are giving negative publicity for kalki
Biggest drawback is Editing of this movie. Sreekar Prasad chesunte baundedi, fluff motham teesi dengevadu. And konni scenes lo music ki intention ki high osthadi but akkada padalsina shot padadhu.

She is always like that, lacking nuances and preparation. Most of her inferences are showing a juvenile attitude towards craft of film reviewing. Sangeeta devi is a seasoned legend in journalism.
Kalki Movie , overall good movie. First half is very bore. Second half is nice due to Amitabh Bachhan's action . VFX is awesome. Paisa Vasool movie. Just go and watch in big screen to enjoy the experience.

What's the reason Karna has to protect birth of Kalki? Is it just to help friend Aswaddhama, to get his Mukti? or any where in Mahabharata Krishna asked Karna for redemption of his standing with "Adharma", Secondly, I doubt whether KALKI birth will be shown Part-2. I guess director will connect to more of mahabharata characters, with Supreme causing havoc. More cameos with Nani, Tarun Baskar, Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna etc
Yes..expect for being stood by duryodhana to adharma for the sake of loyalty or whatever reason..rest in every possible way he is gem of a character..so it is an opportunity to wipe off the only black mark in his rebirth by standing for dharma
I think, Prema (not adding garu as she use to call all her Guests with singular noun without giving respect in her interviews) was telling for name sake. By the way, is it a Telugu channel or English ? Or are you trying to show your English knowledge on Telugu audience ? My keyboard not supports Telugu to type otherwise I would have kept in Telugu.😮
As a so called critics or reviewer for a spoiler discussion need to watch movie 3 or more times to know the depth of context... As a reviewer watch the cameos as a unknown person or character in movie which progress in story development not to connect as know person
