Nag Ashwin isn't foolish to add any story element without purpose. All "Dev-ansh" warriors had got redemption during and post Kurukshetra war except Ashwatthama (Shiv-ansh) and Karna (Surya-ansh) who were the last 'Dev-ansh' warriors whose redemption hadn't occurred as they fought against "Dharma". Choosing Bhairava to be Karna was an obvious move to showcase character redemption for the last 'Dev-ansh' from Mahabharata. Since Ashwatthama is already alive, Karna remained as the sole 'Dev-ansh' left. And one of the story written in literature is of "Karna" donating his golden tooth near death-bed to seek surrender to "Krishna" which Krishna granted as per the story. So, Karna as a reincarnation in 2898AD will surrender to new Kalki avatar and fight alongside him. It's my opinion but it's a smart idea for the movie, executed cleverly by Nag Ashwin.

I think Karna wala angle is only from Aswathama's point of view, as the Vijay Dhanus got activated Aswasthta assumed that he is Karna, where as in my theory he is Kalbhaibav. Is initially Vijay dhanush was used by Mahadev, so it could get activated by Mahadev also not only Karna

As the VFX and CGI artist of the film. This film had 3 endings and we have already done all of them but the director chose the 2nd ending . So climax had in total 3 possibilities. But due to Non - Disclosure Agreement (NDA) . I am not able to tell briefly about all the endings.
