Filmed in 1982 for Kalliope: A Women's Journal of Art and Florida Junior College's (now Florida State College of Jacksonville) Center for Continuing Education of Women, this video features an interview with Louise Gluck, winner of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for poetry and the 2014 National Book Award for Poetry, who served as US Poet Laureate from 2003-2004. Gluck speaks about writing poetry and what it means to be a poet, and the response to her books Firstborn and the House on Marshland.
