Music will always give you peace, it’s a therapy in all ways. Same with musical instruments, it is always soothing to listen to those for hours. Here is one wonderful stall at Kaloor stadium where one could see numerous flutes in beautiful shapes and gives promising tunes in our life. The stall organised by Sivadas Kunnamkulam is gaining wide attention.
Most surprising element is that each and every flute exhibited at the stall is made by Sivadas himself. His stall is now talk of the town and the main attraction in the fair organized by the Kerala State Bamboo Mission. Although 99 percent of the total 187 stalls display various bamboo products, Sivadas's stall exhibits exclusive number of flutes. Various flutes used in Hindustani and Carnatic music are on display. Sivadas, the creator, artist and flute expert himself introduces the customers to the uniqueness of different types of flutes which ranges from 6 to 8 holes and different sizes from 6 inches to 36 inches. He has been active and excellent in classical music field for more than half a century and has thousands of students all over Kerala. He runs a music school called 'Chitrampari' and also a flute training center in Kunnamkulam. No one could miss watching Sivadasan playing different flutes wholeheartedly creating a tranquil musical world for the listeners.
