In a search for new sounds, this man and his work found his way into my recommendations. This is such a great sound over a tight as F riddim section. If you like early-70s Herbie Hancock, or Weather Report, and dig modern grooves-this is gonna light your fire!

kamaal is reinventing so many subgenres of jazz. i love jazz in every fucking way. but whatever kamaal is doing has never been done in this way. kamaal knows exactly what hes doing - every second of every song. absolutely amazibg.

An amazing concert, wish I'd been there...but let's take a moment and wish a sad "RIP" to the pre-August 2020 vibrant city of Beirut. What a tragedy.

Perhaps you are open and interested in learning about your "predecessors" or collaborating? I can name a few like Erik Satie, James Blood Ulmer, Rip Rig and Panic, Meshell Ndegeocello etc. If it comes to that, I would be ready to leave this world after listening to it - I would know it was all worth it...
