16:12 Your guide is misleading the information. The concept is timeless ahead the concept of country called China and India. The temple do not promote such stuffs. The Temple is built in the representation of Human Body. In Nepal, the Human Body is considered as 'Nar Narayani Deha' meaning 'the body where the God resides'. Nar=human; Narayani=where the God (Narayan) resides. Deha=Body. Now, the temple is representation of our Human Body. Now, one needs to understand how it's symbolized. Legs = Underground parts of the Temple, Pelvic Waist = base of the temple There are other regions too, let's skip and come to main point only). We skipped the body part and come to the centre of the temple or equivalent to the Human Temple Regions or forhead (especially the centre between two eye centre or Divya Chakshu). Now, real thing start from there. See, how we throw shoes and slippers outside of temples, how a Diya or Lamp is lit, how we worship and how to ring the Gong or Bell. Now, as you can see, how a Hindu enters a Temple, before going to the temple, he do not eats meat (even if he eats other day), meaning he has followed Satvik Diet (food that comes from ethical work), and then he makes his heart pure, goes to the Temple, wears out his slippers, even if he had been surrounded by physical desires he keeps it outside of the temple. His mind is not in the state of direct worshipping as the lust, angers, pride, etc comes around. So, it's suggested to keep it outside of the mind. Then enter the main temple and start worshipping, (since one is not able to chant properly, start with worship (no matter what process or language) and then this creates the foundation, now start with Mantra Chanting (meaning Chant the Names but from your heart or manas not the mouth). Then, lit the diya or Lamps and then once it's over, ring the bell or Gongs. Now, the physical temple is only the representation which is for educating us. Now, that education should be an applied science. That we can Janana (to know). When you know, you will perform in real. Then the process of applying the same technique in Human life is called Dhyaan. (Simply means to focus). Now, one could ask, what to focus? Remember, we talked about real temple ie. Nar Narayani Deha. Now, remember what we did earlier in the Temple or Mandir? Let me show the analogy below in context to what we did in the temple in regards with what we should do for the Dyaana procedure. We have to live a decent and moral life. We should earn and eat Satvik Food. We should aim to be away from grasps of pleasures and desires (Pride, Anger,Greed, Lust, etc) We prepare ourselves ready for sitting in the Dyaana and make ourself comfortable in a stable and quite position). We take part in the process of thanking Guru, God, Diety, Istadeve, Kul, etc ie Worshipping Gradually, we try to focus on our eye centre, in between the two eyebrows and start meditation. Since, one just can't start meditation just by closing eyes, he need to relax his mind, free himself from he's focusing itself, he needs to Chant the Names/Mantra etc ie, repetitions of Mantra without speaking, it's a gradual process which should not be counted but there is a Process (Vidhi) of 108 times repetition for Ridhi and Sidhis but if you aim for salvation or Mokshya, then there is no bar in limitations or such. Until and unless you enter into the real mediation where you are now full of light and sound. Some, may hear sound first, some may see light first, it's mixed as per one's experiences. Remember, Diya, Bells and Gongs ahead. Once you entered to this state of mediations, many bells starts playing and they will be playing far away, the light will guide, just follow the light and sound from where it coming. You will heart the sweetest and melodies of the musics, sounds that one has never heard. This may break, but don't worry, with practice everyday, this will be more clear. Just rise and rise above, with no exceptions, no greed of this, no experiments, just obey the light and sound. Once, you reach to the certain spiritual realm then the Gong will be played (now not the bells), that will indicate you entered another realm, meaning another temple (in physical world, that's why we have several temples, some had small bels, some play Bhajan, some have Gongs). When the musical notes are matched, melodious and keeps in a pattern ie. Sur (the harmony) and sometimes the melody may break ie.Asur (the non harmony). The is why we say when the heavenly beings are in harmony or sur, they are called Devi/Devata but when they are not in harmony we say them Asur (these both beings resides in heaven). There is a chances during your mediation you might also become Asur and lost in the infinity loop. (it's not always but 99% of the time). That is why Hindusim or Sanatana Dharma Guru is needed. Here, Guru means not physical Guru but Spiritual Guru that will guide you from within, and to get that also first you need Physical Guru and then the physical ones guides into the Spiritual one. That's why Guru is considered as supreme than the supreme god too. We had a Sanskrit Mantra on this too. Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwarah Guru Sakshat Parabrahma, Tasmai Shree Guruve Namah Once, you are more Sure meaning you progress more in Meditation, you will see Devi/Devatas are lower species that resides just in the Heaven and nothing much than that. More than that, you keep progressing, as we leave in the world, we need to eat, sleep, work, we again lost and break our meditation. Now, just as we are supposed to got to temple everyday, we had to sit on meditation everyday and repete the process everyday, (some say every breathe). Once, you progress from there, you will reach to the Samadhi (meaning merging back to the eternal) or in other world same as the ethernal. (Sama = same or merge + Adhi (eternal, some say supreme God too). Once, you mature this state, you need no food, water, air. Just, it is like dye while living, and thus, once it's over, the body stays here and one attains Mokshya and without dying one merges back to the creator.
