I don't think that 240p can really be called uncensored...

Wow, how time flies! 240p doesn't look so great on my 4k monitor anymore... but the song still sounds awesome!

this is the song that got me in to Kamelot. this is also the song that introduced me to a vocal range i never knew i had before..haha.

The censored version just doesn't show the blood coming out of Shagrath's mouth, if I'm remembering correctly.

In the plot of the album, is this song being sung by Ariel or Mephisto? I assumed it was Mephisto, but the video implies it's Ariel. Either way I love it.

I think the part with Shagrath spitting out blood was the part left out of the censored version, but I'm not sure, it's only what I've heard. Either way it's kinda dumb considering the entire video is in sepia color and even though you know it's blood it's not explicit cause you don't see red.

Exactly in 2.53 Shaggrats' shots are different, just "more blood" in his mouth and drinking blood from a skull, etc. I think it's logical, since he's playing Mephisto in the song.

It's actually part of a two-story concept album (Epica & The Black Halo). The story is loosely based on the novel 'Faust' by Goethe. In this song Mephisto(a fallen angel) tries to increase his power over Ariel's mind and intruduces him to Marguerite, a woman that looks like his dead lover.While Marguerite seduces Ariel's body,Mephisto seduces his mind.Mephisto's power over Ariel is represented by the growled vocals.

This was censored because of MTV? One: who the hell watches MTV anymore? Second: They can show pregnant teenagers, Miley Cyrus screwing a wrecking ball, etc, but can't show a little fake blood? Mmm ok.

I have never had chills from music like i get from Kamelot..this music is from the GODS..i swear it..there is no better music on this planet at this time..and ROY..he was the demi-god who spoke it to us..my soul reacts to this..

Definitely one of the best bands I've had the pleasure of listening to. Seems like all the instruments blend together so well for an excellent harmony of music. It's Heavy Metal in my eyes, but it's also so much more. The singer is also the icing on the cake; he is incredible. I will surely recommend Kamelot to anyone interested.

I've been listening to metal since the beginning.... I can say that Kamelot has got something gong on..... It's big, large, dirty, soft, quiet, lifts you and slams you down.... I don't how much more metal you can get. They have a good produced sound and can do it live. I'm not sure where the attitude comes from that you have to sound bad and be unheard of to be good. More metal bands should take notes learn the difference between sound pressure and loudness and VOLUME!

I just started listening to Kamelot a few days ago and now they're definitely one of my favorite bands. I have to say though in this song "I speaketh the truth" and "Tell me all about your pain/Down to the deatil" are my favorite parts of this song.

I'm relatively new to Kamelot, but I immediately realized their talent and uniqueness as band after just one listen. I mean, it doesn't even take multiple listens to realize how amazing these guys are. The music just grasps you from beginning to end without letting go, and the voice seduces you to the point of no return; and then you find yourself asking for more. And if they keep making songs like this one...

I love this song. It's fun going back and watching the video now and seeing just how EXTRA music videos were in the 2000s. That camera shake tho

Have you no sense? Thia song is extremely intense and I was able to sense that even BEFORE I knew the story line. Shagrath is what MAKES it intense, representing an evil or maybe even demonic figure. [I said representing people, so don't go crazy on me. I never said he IS evil.] This song is a masterpiece.

I was thinking about including the first thirty seconds on this song or video in my Latin project, but I decided that it would either be too scary or too cheesy for my class. Plus, Mephisto(pheles) is Lucifer in Greek, and my Latin teacher would pick up on that immediately, and then I would have to explain the whole story behind it. Maybe if I don't have to present this week, I'll make a video version over the weekend and just use this as the intro.

whenever I listen to this song, once it gets to the 3:08 part, i just crank it louder than it was, then at 3:29, I just headbang like crazy!! such a great song!!

Videos are typically for singles, and they couldn't make Memento Mori a single because it's almost 9 minutes long.

I like metal as much as anyone else. But I mainly like it because it's the only genre that can make fun of itsself and still remain badass. eg: Dreamevil. Kiss. Iron Maiden. So I generally dont' see why people are saying taht Shagrath is "Evil" It's as if you dont' realise that he's just a man wearing make-up and singing. And I believe Gene Simmons was the original Make-up wearing badass. Just saying. One thing we can all agree with. Kamelot is pure win. They're far too awesome.

The keyboard solo is the most intense part of the song and flows seamlessly between parts.

I remember I watched this on the "One Cold Winter's Night" DVD, and I was just amazed because it's awesome to watch in HD. :D And this makes me question who I like more, Roy or Shagrath. They both have awesome qualities I adore.

Shagrath seems to be portrayed as Mephisto(thats what im seeing), if so, that's BADASS!! analytical skills ftw.

I have to say, I've been looking up a lot from Kamelot, and so far this is their best. I like the mix between the black metal and their power metal in this song. I have to say, although Kahn has a great voice, I just can't get into their power metal stuff, except for this song. I have always been a sucker for songs that go back and forth between melodic and death/black type material. It's great!
