I mean the new Conception albums are pretty damn awesome. The closest I felt to old Kamelot is the Greek band Sunburst. Check them out if you haven't

Checked this concert DVD out from my local library on a whim about ten years ago. Changed my life. Roy Khan and this line-up of Kamelot is top tier power/prog metal both then and now. Khan is back with his original act Conception and doing a lot of other side projects as well. For those that don't know, go check him out and support his continued work; the man is solid gold.

Youngblood - Khan - Barry - Grillo best kamelot lineup ever. I know on this live (and in ghost opera) Palotai is a full member and I am aware of his talent, but somewhat after he joined the band things keeps getting worse and nothing has been the way it was before. Albums from The fourth legacy to The Black Halo are just perfect
