I didn't think Avantasia would make that list, but I suppose you're right. Everyone knows Kamelot it seems. Very few know Avantasia, even though I'd swear they were prominent all over simply because of how much I love Tobias' music. This is going by Canadian standards btw. Obviously they're more noticed in Europe.
Kamelot, more specifically this album and later, is the only band I can think of that makes me genuinely break down in tears. Kamelot forever you guys. \m/
I like Khan and Tommy, too. Tommy has an own personality, like Khan had, and they are different individuals, and both fit to the band perfectly, BECAUSE both of them are really feeling the songs, not just singing them. Anyway, there' s a singer before Khan, so no need to compare Tommy and Khan. :P
Pumpkin Man that's my one complaint for the album..its so perfect but oh god why is the voice acting so horrible! and when the twist happens in the car...that acting lol
I really don't understand why people keep bitching about Tommy.. The guy's supper talented and brings the same old raw emotion to the songs, just as Khan used to.. Just in a little bit different way.. cuz they are.. you know.. different persons.. I guess.. Yea, probably.
Nicky Anderson TheTiesThatBindUs it was a joke, I was just being funny and trying to create a scenario where Helena gets jealous that the band is singing about annother girl instead of her
really. the new kamelot is very orchestral we need more metal like, THE FOURHT LEGACY that the best kamelot ever and tommy is a great singer qith kamelot or seventh wonder. i hope the new KAMELOT back to the past.
***** That's true, there may not be a "best Kamelot ever" but there is "a best Kamelot ever for a certain person", i for one favor the Karma album. Anyway that being said, i, personally, am a huge Khan fan, for me Kamelot was Roy Khan. All i can say right now, is that i'm happy with his replacement and i really do hope that Karevik does not try to pull a Khan, so to say (he isn't Roy Khan, just as Khan isn't Karevik) , he should be just himself and it will be awesome, it may even lead to better albums than before. I can't wait to see them live and i can't wait for their next album (whenever that may be), until then i'll just listen to the old and the new Kamelot :)
Erik Heard um, yes it is...I just bought this on iTunes...and I just looked on eBay and you can find copies on there...so yeah it is available in the United States
That won't happen. Kamelot are happy with Tommy (as I am) and Roy won't come back. Look, you don't have to forget about him but there's this one thing you need to understand: He won't back and proably doesn't want to. I guess it's a hard situation for some fans which I do understand. I myself had a hard time to accept Floor as the new singer in Nightwish because I loved Anette (yes, Anette not Tarja) so much but in the end I finally did.
DarkMatterial I am also very sad about Roy. But it also opened up for many more paths. And Tommy... There couldn't have been a better person to take the spot. Just listen to that voice, that passion. Kamelot is still strong as ever.
Almost every Kamelot song shows masterful and moving word choice. ....But.... "I'm hurt and sad"....? It almost ruins the song for me. It's such a good song except for that middle school emo kid level line. I'm hurt and sad? How did that get on the album?
KBM Studios I know this comment was from a year ago, but I don't think it sounds that bad, it has a more childlike feeling to it which fits with the story of the album
KBM Studios Tommy seems to do this with often. He'll write super poetic songs, but will insert one or two childish and awkward lines. But, it seems to be both a stylistic thing and a regional thing. A lot of European metal is like that. But, while awkward and childish, they still manage to make them work just fine.
