Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton) Reacts to The Waltons "The Foundling" Season 1 Episode 1 Part 1 

Kami is 2 weeks older than I am, but I remember thinking what a cute "little" girl she was. I enjoyed watching her grow up and was amazed at how intelligent and, frankly, beautiful she was in the later specials. What an accomplished lady she has become. She feels like a close, long-time friend. This video series warmed my heart!

The Walton's was one of my favorite shows. Being a stroke survivor, when Ellen came back after her stroke and played the part of a stroke survivor had to be my absolute favorite. I love how well she and Will worked together. But the entire cast was perfect! Thankyou so much for creating this channel!

That theme song added to a family controversy that we laugh about years later. Back in the days of one TV in the living room, my 3 brothers and I had agreed to watch The Waltons Thursday nights. Usually we were just finishing up our dessert after supper, and squabbling about who had to clean what in the kitchen. To mitigate this, my mom got us glasses in different colors, we weren't arguing over who had to wash which glass. Well, that night a lone yellow glass remained in the sink that no one would own up to. We were still sulking about it as we settled down on the floor as the opening theme played. I'm not sure who started it, but someone started singing the phrase, "A yello-ow glass, a yello-ow gla-a-ass..." over and over with the music at the one we were sure was the culprit. Whereupon, he leapt up, retrieved the glass and hurled it at the 3 of us in front of the TV, screaming, "No, no, no, no! It is NOT my yellow glass!" My mom had to ban any singing at that point, but we kept mouthing it when she wasn't looking. That's my memory of the opening credits song!

Oh my goodness three second the theme song started playing I was immediately taken back to when my family gathered to watch The Waltons. Great memories. Thank you.

If I remember correctly, Elizabeth was the breakout star of that show. Everyone just loved her.

Living in Belfast Northern Ireland during the troubles... watching the programme was like a little bit of heaven each Monday night on BBC2. It took my sister and I away from the awful realities around us .. and took us to our other family at Walton's mountain! Thanks Kami!

This is still my favorite show. You know how it ends, but that doesn’t matter. It is a show that’s good for any audience at any time. Good life lessons and manners. Lovely Earl Hamner’s narrative. Such great memories from such a wonderful American treasure. Awesome actors filing roles for a very well written show. Who wouldn’t love the Walton’s?! Thank you for sharing. Can’t imagine growing up without the Walton’s. Even the theme song brings up such lovely memories.

It was so interesting to get Kami's perspective! I was 11 years old when the series premiered. There was no logical reason I would like a show like this, but every episode had a way of drawing me in. Once I started watching, I didn't want to stop until it was over ... and then I wanted more. No episode comes to mind as my favorite, but I faithfully watched "The Homecoming" Christmas episode year after year & never tired of it. Bravo for outstanding television!

It's hard to watch now that do many of actors are no longer with us, it was like we were part of the family every Thursday night. I love the rompers too. There's a scene after leaving Ikes, when jimbob buys the snowglobe, that the look you have on your face is pure confusion of your feelings about jealousy of jimbob kindness. It comes across so genuinely. P.S. Anxiously awaiting for next video.

The Waltons is one of those great shows that can't be recreated. Loved every character on the show (especially Grandma and Grandpa). Big part of my childhood, like Little House on the Prarie.

I have DVDs of all of the Walton's episodes. As a kid, I couldn't wait until Thursday night so I can watch my favorite show. All of the actors did a great job.

I remember growing up watching this show. We called it "The Walnuts". It was such a shock when it got cancelled and replaced with the likes of "Dallas". The shows were like night and day, the former being the better of the two.

I watch The Waltons every day still. For the last probably 20 years of my life it's the show that helps me with my depression. Now for 11 years I've been handicapped from a spinal cord injury that is also a chronic pain condition and includes many side illnesses that come along with it. So this show helps me escape into a different world where there is that fabulous Mom and Dad and Richard Thomas who I was in love with when I was young. I'm 56 now so not sure what the actual time frames are. I don't remember. I just remember loving the original Christmas movie so much that I started carrying a little notebook around after that so I could be a "writer" like John Boy. I still watch that movie every Christmas. So, thank you to the cast and crew of The Waltons for still being my daily boost of joy. I've watched the series all the way to the end about the last 2 years of the current administration also. Helps a lot. Love you all!

So I grew up with DVD reruns of the series and it's my favorite TV show ever and I just love it so much. It has always been a dream of mine to meet some of the cast members. I am a 70s child who grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. There were nine brothers and sisters. It was appointment TV every Thursday night at 8 o'clock to watch the Waltons. We would all sit on the floor around the TV with the whole family and my grandparents. Wonderful show still watch this day. Can't wait to see part two, love all of you guys!

Every Thursday night during the early ‘70s, my grandparents would come over, and we’d all watch “The Waltons” together. Kami, I wonder if you and your cast mates ever realized how many families you brought together, if even just for that one hour on Thursday evenings. Thank you for all the years of wonderful entertainment.

I saw you at the Waltons museum opening in Schuyler,Va.in 1992 along with many other cast members. What a great day that was. I actually brought my daughter along who was 6 at the time,yes,her name is Elizabeth and is a redhead. You stole our hearts from the Homecoming and every step along the way.Thank you very much for taking time to share with all us life long fans.

HOW COOL! I was six when I watched this and because I was from Virginia and always curious about the past along with my love for the old vehicles, this show as GREAT! I always loved watching kids my age on television I love Family Affair and because my parents both came from very large families it was sweet to see all you guys together living in a world that was not complicated or trashed by television... even though it was watching television... I use to ask my grandmother all the time about what it was like not to have television or electricity... it is like explaining to children about not having computers or the internet today... I think people OUR age may appreciate the computers just a little bit more than children born into just having them around... I love the internet better than tv because I can always watch what I want and find an episode of the Waltons anytime anywhere... I am so happy you decided to make videos such as this it does mean a lot to kids who were fans of this show that just happen to be yours and Jim Bob's age... LOL

The Walton's is my favorite show of all time. When I hear the theme song, it takes me back to better times. We had one of those squeaky screen doors and I remember my family watching that show.all together. There are not any shows even close to The Walton's.today.

Kami, I was able to meet and visit with you at three different Walton Reunions (Lynchburg, VA [2] and San Diego, CA). You were my very favorite character on the show. I am a retired teacher and just loved you in "The Homecoming" and "The Foundling." You were adorable when you said, "I don't feel like a pissant" and "Daddy, just where did I come from?" You have the most beautiful red hair. Since I purchased the complete series and three movies, I can watch my very favorite program as many times as I want to.
