Did you know that the town of Kamnik dates back to medieval times? Specifically, the town was mentioned in 1229 as a stop along a trade route between Kamnik and Ljubljana. Kamnik is actually one of the OLDEST TOWNS in SLOVENIA!
Today I am going to take you around this beautiful and charming town situated right on the footsteps of Velika Planina (Great Pasture). If you are in the area, that is a great place to take a day trip to!
The town itself is located only 30 minutes from the capital of Ljubljana and is the getaway to the Julian Alps to the North. Often overlooked by tourists, this town deserves your attention and in this video I will give you some reasons why you should visit!
