Those are called lane markings which separate vehicles from each other they serve the same purpose like the athletics markings in the field whereby athletes are not allowed to to cross to the other and that will take 3 vehicles.

I'm not sure if Uganda has the same highway code principle as the UK, but lane markings also serve to give information regarding the road environment ahead, for example, longer lane lines with a small space signify a junction or a hazard ahead and overtaking is not advised. Double white lines in the centre prohibit you from overtaking unless the white line nearest to you is broken@@Ishagishanug

How can padestrian move in the middle of the road🤔🤔🤔, that road is designed padestrians to move on the side of the roads, and that's water is there coz the work is not yet done, on those pavements, before you talk on something pliz just be sure you know,
