I do remember an experience when in Melbourne with a Chinese man within the restaurant spitting out all sorts into tissues and leaving those tissues on his plate. I remember the poor female waitress attending to his table asking him to take all his tissues with him and for him to place them in a bin. An absolute animal he was. yes it is but its not khmers problem. 15 years ago they where living with bamboo cups and bananna leaf plates, clay plates ect. Plastic producers need to step up .

What stunned me about the road from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville is that it's just 2 lanes! Vehicles overtaking the many slow moving trucks have use the road shoulder to avoid a head on. I saw one accident on that road where a car was incinerated where i'm sure I seen charred humans remains inside. Hope to visit kampot on the way to the Philippines in September.

Sihanoukville was bought up by the Chinese when they built the casinos years ago,I loved the place pror to that, the shanty town bars on the beach had their charm and it was dirt cheap with a good vibe ,I'd never go back ,have fun on your travels ,yeah they have no manners these Chinese sorry just my experience
There’s nothing for westerners in Snooky now, hence why the Tuk Tuk drivers aren’t hawking everywhere, the Chinese use Chinese transport. It’s ruined Sean.
once got on a 12 seater from Poi Yopon to Andoung Tuek, a journey of 50km on jungle roads like your story. People crammed in like sardines along the way and when we arrived I counted 35-40 people getting off the bus. Fortunately for me - as an obvious foreigner and some Cambodian politeness - I only had 1 person sat on my lap, and she was fit!
First impression is not as bad as i feared. But I don’t think it will ever be the same old snookey. I remember a bar with a aeroplane that had a sign no knives no guns and no hand grenadines allowed inside. What kind of bar doesn’t let you take your grenades in
