We tame a kangaroo, and hunt for other important utility tames.
This series contains intense scenes and some blood and violence to a greater degree than most of my content-- please be advised!
After escaping the desert irl I've decided to return to it in-game with ARK: Scorched Earth-- this time in Survival Ascended! Scorched Earth is set in a harsh desert landscape with brutal heatwaves, fearsome sandstorms, and hungry wildlife lurking around every turn. In order to thrive, we'll have to rise above the wilds, taming beasts to aid us in our struggle for survival...
ARK: Survival Ascended is a challenging survival game about getting stranded in a harsh wilderness full of prehistoric and mythical creatures. Starting with virtually nothing you must brave the odds and conquer the wilds-- that is, if you can manage to avoid getting eaten by the raptors! On the bright side, Scorched Earth does have jerboas! It also has wyverns that will barbecue you without remorse or hesitation, so fair trade I guess.

So there's a known issue with single player in ASE that appears to have carried over to ASA where, even if you have the difficulty multiplier set to 5 and force max level toggled on, in the actual game source files the difficulty multiplier only goes up to 4. You can fix it by manually editing the game files (there are guides online but it's obviously risky to start messing about in game files lol, I chose to do it so I could get some 150s but being limited to 120s on single player isn't really the end of the world). The graphics are gorgeous and I'm glad they added some quality of life improvements but some of the bugs are...wow xD Gotta love the accidental pego tame, I usually give them a lecture about how you can't steal from me then declare yourself to be my pet, *I* tame *you*! Though I suppose we put up with much the same behavior from cats... I'm also excited to see the new breeding system, I haven't bothered with breeding for stats in this game before.

Hey, thanks for checking in, I'm doing alright! I just realized I was pushing myself too hard with YT in additional to other irl busy-ness so I stepped back for a bit to give myself a breather and make sure I was still having fun making videos and not just putting them out for the sake of it, y'know? But I'm getting back into the swing of things with YT again now and am hoping to start posting again more properly in August :)

I was getting worried too when I realized that you hadn't commented anything on Wolfquest's devblogs either, and came to see if anyone else has been trying to contact you. Good to see that you're ok and just needed a break!
