Awesome review! I do agree with the processing time from the time someone rings ur doorbell till the time u get a view of that person on ur kangaroo app. I noticed that kangaroo had a bit of that delay even with the sensors
Well I've read the comments. My experience is. Batteries do run out quick. Especially if u use cheap ones. Motion is detected but no picture. I dropped the camera twice trying to take it out of the mount to change.the batteries. I've had it for 4 months when I changed the batteries. Again I have a blurred picture and very dark too. Sometimes I see a blue or green picture. Well it was $29 dollars. Thinking about buying the square one that's $40.00. Maybe that one's better. Cuz I will locate it inside. Weather here is rough. I dough that it will make it thru winter

My camera is acting janky. This is my 2nd one. It's giving me notifications even when nobody is there. They recently sent a "film " to help with the glare / light issues. I'm not sure what the issue is , I have my field set to 8ft.
I bought one in 2021. The automatic camera neglected to activate every single time there was detectable motion. Only some of the time, did it take a photo of the motion in front of it. They did, however, initiate a refund immediately when I was charged for a recurring subscription.
I just found and purchased at Walmart for $24. But having a hard time taking off the back where the batteries are. Wish you covered how to take the back off. But agree with you on everything you said about it.
I just got it. Image quality seems okay. Send snapshots when it sends movement. Just a few seconds tho. Very clear even at night time. There is only one thing annoying me. It kept asking you to subscribe. Not many features available if you don’t pay.
I just bought the kangaroo doorbell camera, I cannot see the picture I just see Shadows I can't get a clear picture I took that film off the lens and still can't get a clear picture can somebody help
Without paying a fee, it does not record it takes a quick series of photos when the motion sensor goes off until the motion is gone. It will store those pics for 24 hours in their cloud for free, so I always just screenshot them immediately if I think I will need them again.
Do me a favor...after you've placed your Kangaroo doorbell outside with the peel and stick method do a review when the batteries die in two months. Try ripping the darn thing off the door frame without damaging anything to access the back of it to get the batteries changed. That will be more useful.
My curiosity is if I am away from my home will I be able to be notified if I am on a different service than my kangaroo doorbell is, for instance I have Internet at home but my phone is on a totally different service will I be able to be notified or do you have to be near it considering it's connected to Bluetooth as well

Hi yes the app is slow when I open my door I don't know If it is the cam or my cheep phone but I walk up to the door unlock the door close it and then here dining letting me know hay I walked inside. Now I don't get good TMobile LTE at my place so there could be a lag from when I walk in to wifi to the time I walk inside my apartment and I'm 100% on the wifi again. But when I am on LTE at work and it rings I can see right away what Is going on.
Once the K doorbell camera takes a set of photos, how long is it till it takes more? I'm thinking of using this to monitor when guests arrive and check number of guests.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I have been using this for one month, but it actually only worked for about two weeks. I had to keep resetting it every day and then it just stopped working altogether. It tells me “no WiFi connection “ , strange since WiFi is working with everything else. Back in the box for me

How long does batteries last in camera photo can you see in the cloud storage your photos and can you look at your photo on the phone , can you see someone at door ,or you have to wait for door bell to ring to see people coming up or can you put camera in anywhere in the house
Does this require hardwired wifi network. I dont have access to wifi in my rural home but want something that could still capture and upload to an internal kangaroo or other cloud that i could access from my mobile device .
Not sure if I’m liking it, a homicide almost happened right out side my front door; which a neighbor told me and I didn’t caught anything. Can’t even retrieve deleted files. Night vision don’t work. Thinking of returning.
Yea it doesn't catch much. Not good in the way of security. Really only good for a doorbell. My wife leaves for work everyday and it only catches her when she is almost away completely from the camera. Sometimes I don't even see her on the stills because it captures so late.
I LOVE mine. But is there a way to shut it off like daytime when I am here and don't always need it?! Just wondering bc I can figure it out. I always have the window alarms bc we have a 16 yr old who likes ro sneak out 🤣😅😅😅😅🙄

Anyway, get an Obama government phone they are free, all you have to be to qualify, for a phone is be on public assistance. See that way not only would you know what's going on in front of your house, the government will know too...Win-win for everybody.
Lord I hope so since it's a doorbell, which means it's made for outdoors lol. I don't know anybody that has a doorbell >nside their house and out of the weather...

Go buy a Ring Doorbell, Nest, Alexus, Goggle dang if you're looking for top quality. I just want to see who's coming to my door or just someone being nosey when the alerts go off🤣🤣 my husband works 3rd shift and now he want have to call and wake me up I'll just hear the sound and get up and go take the extra security lock off the door and turn the alarm off before he gets in the house. It's horrible! It worked for about maybe 2 weeks, then lost all connection. Called customer service,. had to remove device, remove app, then re-add it all again and it worked for ONE day. I am so sick of this thing not working! Going in the trash!

Hi my apartment complex has this doorbell in it. I have one on my door and my neighbor potato has one on her door. No her name is not potato I don't know her name but her dog's name is potato. Potato hasn't in her door as well. Potatoes camera is outside in points at the street so it's going to see every little kid who runs by on the other side of the fence every car that drives by every person that walks by heavy leaf that falls off the tree every animal that comes by every dog walker walking their dog nearby mine though is inside my apartment building there's a wall in front of my door so it doesn't show anything pretty much most of the time. Although it does pick up shadows. It will pick up a shadow every now and then telling you someone's nearby but I won't tell you who exactly nearby he'll just show blank nothing in my case but then I see off in the corner of the screen a shadow walking by. This thing does not like retardable batteries I tried putting rechargeable batteries in it so I would never have to buy batteries for it and it does not like them. It dies within a month or so sometimes 2 to 3 which the rechargeable batteries inside so I opted to get alkaline batteries good Energizer batteries instead of the rechargeable that don't work. Doesn't matter if you get the ones like you have to plug them because of the charger all the time doesn't matter if you get the newer ones we can pop the top off and have a USB inside of it doesn't matter if you get the ones what the USB on the side of it it just doesn't matter it just doesn't like them and they die quickly. So I'm going to put alkalines in mine and see how long they last for I put them in August 2022 and I'm going to sleep and see when the next time I have to charge them which will probably be next August 2023 hopefully. This is great because I get packages at my house all the time and now I can see if my brother has taken the package inside or somebody has stolen my package as it's very common in my area people will steal from you especially around Christmas time. I'm thinking of getting one of these for my sister for Christmas this year just so that if she gets a package for Christmases she can keep a watch on it when she's at work and no that it's there or if she asks me to go next door and bring it inside I can wave to hurt the camera she'll get an alert on her phone and she'll see me bring it inside. All in all this the great camera I love this little camera.
These are doodoo. They work just ok for about two weeks then mine got some update and now they don’t record anyone unless you are moving at the speed of a 90 year old grandma
This camera sucks!!! Save your money, it worked for couple months but even when it worked it sucked. it would only record like a 2 second burst when someone walked in front of it. Usually there back.It stopped working 2/9/2021 i have tried for HOURS to restart it. Have tried everything possible. Does not work. Worse $20 i ever spent. Spend a little more and get a good one.
Do not buy this it’s a piece of junk. Mine has been saying there’s no WiFi connection when there’s literally at least 8 different ones in my apartment complex.
