G'day Chris, Wow, this woke me up this morning (Sunday here in Oz). I'll give it a go a bit later when my head is awake 😊 PS. I posted a piano song on my page. Not as classy as you (of course), but if you want to see the crazy redhead you've been communicating with for nearly three years, tap my face haha (fast forward to piano lol... Was only supposed to be for a few mates). Thanks again for another lesson 😉
Cool left hand bass line. It's kind of a reverse shuffle on the piano. It's kind of tricky playing the 5th of the chord on beat 1 and the 6th on beat 2 with the 1 being on the off beat (except at the top of the form and at the end).
I go to your lesson page all the time and they are extremely helpful! I play in a band and I’m always looking for the “perfect sound” that you have!! Also, where do you play? In a band? By yourself. You are Phenomenal!!! What’s your history? THANKS!! 💖💖
This was a good one for me in terms of being a little challenging, but easy enough to learn quickly and play. It took a couple of hours to learn. I can play what you played, but it just needs some polish. I bought your sheet music for Lonely Heart slow blues, but find choruses 4 and 5 very challenging. I'd like to learn some boogie woogie at this level of challenge. If you have a specific recommendation...... Anyway thanks!
On future videos like this could you please consider the idea of giving a brief example of the sort of riff to use an accompaniment, as some of us like to sing the songs and use your lessons for soloing inspiration? (Apologies for not buying your midi files lately but will continue doing so shortly, as they are fabulous aids for me).
There is just too little demand for that. Gotta keep a course to keep the tutorials concise. People drop out in a jiffy if you leave that course...RU-vid statistics are very cruel...
So who is Muddy Waters' piano player ? Is it Otis Spann ? They were cousins or half -brothers [or both ...] and I know Spann played on a lot of Muddy's recordings ........btw , you are not 79 , no way . someone has been pulling your leg [or you are pulling our legs ].
Thanks for the class! I think I got it: Classically speaking you all are classy, but not necessarily classicists. Which makes me a Steinway! YES, I KNEW IT ALL ALONG!!
