I knew Charles Floyd Jr. He was a lifelong friend of my uncle and frequent visitor. Mr Floyd shared with us his stories and artifacts from his dad. Pretty Boy Floyd was very liked by locals and from what my grandfather is said was a nice guy. My uncle remembered the wife, Charles' mom, but did see the dad. House was off limits when the dad was home. Charles Jr was a good man, he is gone but his kids and grandkids are in SF bay area last I checked.
A new Floyd video will be uploaded this week, and in the near future I will be filming the home Floyd Jr. lived with his father in Fort Smith, Arkansas for about six months. Stay tuned!
@@MMorbid awesome lives there all my life. Been watching a few of your video and really have enjoyed them. The Kansas City Massacre caught my eye because of knowing about Frank Nash.
I was about to ask you if you had anything on Pretty Boy Floyd. I remember seeing documentaries on him in the early years of the 2000s that would last all day. Thank you.
What really intrigues me about Pretty Boy Floyd was the period between the Kansas City massacre and his death in Ohio. Nobody seems to know what he was doing in Buffalo New York and how he afforded it. His robberies were small, under $3,500 and in the vein of Bonnie and Clyde. Miniscule amounts next to Dillinger. And he usually split those with one or two other people. And he gave a lot away. There is no way he could have afforded 13 months in Buffalo. Was he working as an enforcer for the Buffalo crime family? Were the Baird sisters working? He most certainly could not have afforded the protection racket.
I myself wondered how Pretty Boy Floyd could afford to stay in Buffalo for almost a year. Let alone not be caught because hoover and Pervis were certainly wanting to find him.
Great episodes,Madame. Especially with the original locations. I've heard of the theory of the accidental discharge of the Officers shotgun and it sounds plausible.
Especially with the glass laying on the hood. There’s no other way to explain that. Forensics doesn’t lie. People do though, and who wants to admit they accidentally killed the prisoner! Thanks for watching.
Sorry to report that yards away & 91 some years later was the 2024 Super Bowl Parade shooting. It took the life of one Ms Lopez a DJ at KKFI-FM radio. RIP.
I know, I was horrified by that event and even more so that I had filmed there about a massacre. That the same thing would happen twice in the same place is unbelievable to me.
@@MMorbid Yes I know. OBTW U are young. Prepare for a time of crazy kaos. Some films you should see are... "Gone With The Wind." "Empire Of The Sun." "The Killing Fields".
I would tend to agree with you! However a little bit on ballistics. double O or oo buckshot is lead and almost 32 caliber and triple O or OOO buckshot is roughly 38 caliber! Typically Buckshot is the lead. 16 gauge is actually a smaller bore than that of 12 gauge. So if you are saying ball bearings I presume that you mean steel shot. Steel shot is rough on shotgun barrels and even though it's the smaller bore 16 gauge the choke in the shotgun would have had to have been removed otherwise known as "full open" This is also before plastic wadding in shotshells the wad would have been cardboard or felt. As for the Hoover years of the FBI, I would be inclined to believe that J Edgar Hoover created narratives in order to get more funding from the Government. I am reasonably sure that Pretty Boy Floyd was not present at the shooting but he may have advised or assisted in the planning of. However, that is indeed just speculation. Considering that the early FBI were not well-trained lawmen but more likely to be accountants of some type, Yes a jumpy agent could have shot his own guys by mistake.
Thank you! I love locations where that is possible to do, and sadly it’s pretty rare. The other video I was also able to line up pictures was the video about the Hyatt Regency collapse. That hotel was walking distance from here and I think I filmed them the same day, which when you think about it that’s kind of weird. Thank you for watching!
Some how he is related to my family too. My Mom remembers Her dad, my Grandpa coming in & saying they got Floyd last night. Now she was pretty young, but my aunt said he was a cousin, somewhere on our family tree? My only claim to fame 🙃
@@phyllisraber7555 that’s awesome. How unfortunate that neither you nor I took time to write this stuff down when we were hearing it from our ancestors.
@@CptKirk-yt2qx interesting, I don’t think who was there has actually been identified. If they had really wanted to solve the case they should have started by looking at known associates of Frank Nash. From what I can tell they didn’t do that. Who knows, he might’ve been there. No way to know now.
@@MMorbid He was the person that didn't get caught in Floyd's gang, he was the getaway driver during some of his antics. This info came to me by some relatives who knew him better than me; as a child I was not allowed to have direct contact with him so most of my memories were of watching him talk to my father outside while drinking a beer while I had to stay in the house.
I live close to where lots of the greats came for vacation. I also have pics of Dillinger rebury..ive traveled all over and got pics of everyone from Ed Vein to H H Holmes murder castle site.. I enjoy your channel
They didnt ...they were expecting to intercept Nash / Police during the 1 hr delay between trains and had to adapt their plans when the Police / Nash exited the station
I don't know if anyone has said this but it's just as plausible that the mob had Nash "rubbed out" as he knew a lot of things. Not necessarily a rescue.
If you stand in front of the pillar on right at 18:04 and look about 7 feet up, you can see 3 bullet impacts. Not holes but impact marks. Those are what people come to see. 😂
There can be different ways the glass fell on the hood. Shots could have gone through the back and out the front. Also all the glass wouldn't fly into the car from a shot from the front. Majority of glass will fall straight down
Hoover was so crooked 😮but he had so much dirt on everyone they couldn't get rid 9f him😮why he had Files on everyone, he had his secrets too was gay back in those days you'd be arrested
That is so true, the station is stunning and the outside is basically frozen in time. It was almost eerie how easy it was to combine the historic photos with my footage. Thanks for watching!
@@gregwatson8219 Floyd got his nickname from the madam of a cathouse in KC. Chock wasn't gay. He just stood out amidst a bunch of guys whose faces looked they had lost a fight with a grinding wheel.
