Right!? Like this girl was clearly there just for him, but he's at home, polishing is Master System!! lol Ha ha--probably really hilarious for any of our UK Nerdlings to see us "excited" for their old money. ha ha
We went to the KC Fair too. I see your dolls behind you. Any chance you were the person that bought a tiny sword for your Blythe Doll in a shop there? I took my Blythe Doll in to buy one, and the lady said she had sold a tiny sword to a Blythe the week before! I do have a video if you would like to see it. (plus last week ends Dragonfest and today, coming up, Kingdom City). ;-)
Hello fellow faire goer!! We were not the ones to buy a sword, but now we're curious as to what we missed. And absolutely would love to see your video! I'll pop over to check that out! AND Dragonfest you say--we were there too, on Saturday in the morning. Video incoming for that as well. Very glad to have a fellow festival traveler with us, thank you!!
ive never been to a ren fair but always thought they looked fun. i hate to admit it but i was always somewhat embarrassed to let my inner nerd out (not to my small circle of friends but in public settings or around new people). now as a 41 yr old i’ve recently started going on a huge nostalgia trip, buying toys/games from my childhood, some things i had and others i wished i’d had. my favorite episode of reading rainbow when i was a kid was when LeVar Burton went to a renaissance fair. anyhoo, i enjoy the channel and look forward to more!
Thank you for checking out our video--and more, for starting to embrace that inner nerd; it's definitely not age-restricted and never too late. Tracking down toys and games from our youth that we had or wanted is a lot of fun and makes for a great trip into the past. For ren-faires, if you can visit one, we highly recommend it. The people there, staff and visitors, are so embracing of the festival and people within. It's such a great community and even more fun when you go all in and dress up because hey, these are our people and we're all doing what we love! Thanks again for stopping in!
thanks for the response! i’ve recently subbed to your channel, so i’m slowly working my way through your past video catalog and enjoying it very much. thanks again!
Looks like a lot of fun. I have actually never been to a Renn Fair before. I do like beer and turkey legs though so I really need to get it together. 🤣 Was that Master Chief there? And a gaggle of Santa’s elves?! Werewolves too?! That chick berating Sega Head even made me feel inadequate just watching her. 😲 I like your pickups. I am with a lady Laci…that drinking gourd is really cool.
Dude. DUUUUDE what are you doing!? Or what are you NOT doing! Most have a pub crawl, so...you know, 'nuff said? ha ha for real I think you'd really have a blast though. Indeed--Master Chief was making the rounds, keeping us safe; kept muttering about Cortana...that Windows thing? lol The elves were hilarious! And Sega's new side piece, lol she was a lot of fun to chat with. See? You need to visit a faire, get a drinking gourd, and enjoy a pumpkin beer from it!
That Negan shirt!! So, you know I was looking forward to this. The line for parking is frightening! I liked that there was an interesting weapon selection. I really like those dragon’s tooth daggers! How much were those? I would’ve put one on my robe belt for my 5e wizard character costume.
She loves her Negan. That line just to park was rough for sure; we need to stop doing this videos, too many people are showing up ha ha! So I don't recall the pricing, BUT I do have a link to the dragon's tooth daggers Etsy shop. However, keep in mind we've only ever bought directly from him at the faire and I know there are some issues listed for shipping, so, heads up: www.etsy.com/shop/mythologicae
The October weekends were just PACKED!! I'm so glad it looks like you had a good time. The festival managed to have incredible weather pretty much all season long!! Also huge shoutout to the gourd shop I LOOOOOVE MINE!!
Broken record time; we have nothing at all even remotely that cool here in Moncton! 45 years and going strong? Wow! I really hope those guys found Santa. Forget pulling a rabbit out of a hat! That’s a neat trick Laci 😂 Oh my god that swing! I would have been in it! Little weeny baby Sega Head, disappointing woman everywhere 😂🤣 That drinking gourd (I hope that’s how you spell it) is awesome. Scott and I will be 12 years married next year too ❤ and 23 years together this coming April ❤ Tom and the dad jokes. Next level my friend!
That's is, head this way; you can stay with us and we'll take you to a faire, it's time to change this! Fun fact, Lady Laci's dad actually used to take her mom to this faire when they were dating long ago! Santa, no. Krampus...oh god it's horrible!! I thought about the clickbait title "Laci Lifts Dress to Show Bunnies at Ren-fest!" She slapped me for that too... Oh you'd like the swings Jenn--they're powered by muscled young gentlemen. ;-) When I saw that woman I KNEW I had to have her long-distance dom on Sega Head. ha ha Do you guys even drink if it's NOT out of a gourd? Step it up! lol Wait--23 years but only 12 married? This is what happens when you don't take a break from games Scott, c'mon! That's awesome guys--AND, now you know to go for a pearl to make it traditional. Soooo, see you next year for a ren-fest, right?
Thanks!! It took a bit to get parked but once inside the gates, it all faded away as we stepped back in time...then forward in time to pay for purchases with debit cards and Square apps on our smart phones. lol
Thanks for the share, and dude, you really need to! And twice, go to at least two, one in normal clothes and one dressed the part; it really does make for a different experience in the interactions.
The gourd takes me to the desert scene, from famous director, Senor Spielbergo, when the "Excellent" man bends down and says: "drink up, Judah Ben-Hur. You truly are a king of kings." Please don't boo-urns me over this. Also, the pearls thing was something my wife always enjoyed down in Disney, think in Epcot. She actually got to pick her own clam shell to open and see what size pearl she would get. Then Covid and I think they stopped for a bit. Then when they did open it back up, it was just whatever shell they had, they would open for it. Not sure if that original experience, the better experience, has or will return.
Ha ha ha--on the gourd and Boo-urns bit. LOL Aand now that's in my head too. lol Oh getting to pick and open your own clamshell definitely has to be better than whatever is available! It's a pretty fun little keepsake to hold onto though, especially when utilized as jewelry or something so it's an easy talking point and fun story.
Wow! I'm soooo jealous! These types of events is what I think my family would enjoy as well. Probably the closest thing we have here in Toronto is called Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament. But I love how this Renaissance is out in the open, vendors, shops, animal pen. Btw, that's the first time I've seen vendors selling pearls like that. That was pretty cool. And yeah great point with the weather. Not too hot and not too cold, just perfect. Great times man! Cool vid!
Now now, there's nothing at all wrong with a good meal and fun show at Medieval Times! We used to hit up the one in Vegas whenever we'd be there and always love it. Really hope you get the chance to check out a full on faire though as they really are a lot of fun. The people get into it so much and it just envelops you. The pearl was a great find--loved adding it to the mini collection (and what great timing too!) And the weather, oh man, it's like can we stock days like this for all future festival visits? Thanks so much for checking this out--and definitely please let us know if you ever find a faire and get to visit yourself!
