It's not about wearing what they want. However, an employer has laws to follow was as well, when establishing dress codes. They can easily be reported on and successfully sued if it is warranted.

Al is not wrong.Yes, employers can establish dress codes for their employees, as long as they are not discr:m:nat0ry. So even though they can legally enforce dress codes for their staff, while they can be broad, they must not infringe on someone's protected rights. Telling someone to wear attire that is completely ridiculous or demeaning, such as the men to put on dresses or the women to wear very little to nothing or a bikini is a no, no. I'm not talking about H00ters either because their dress code has been established.

Even though the the Crown Act passed the House it was blocked in the Senate. However the CROWN Act is law in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

It’s not about contracts, it’s illegal to terminate someone’s employment based off their religious views. It’s the same thing as firing someone who wore a hijab. It’s discrimination

@@TheRedScareIsAlive But the whole point is that Kanye is not discriminating - he's an artist trying to execute an aesthetic vision. And with contracts in place, he has a right to request any aesthetics he wants to project. Those that work for him, with contracts, could understand their roles in advance at being a vessel for Kanye, and willing to contort into whatever latest request he makes... that's the job - it has nothing to do with race. It's a kind of performance art, and artists that agree to work for him should consent to that in advance through contracts... Then there's no issue

However, employers can't discriminate against a group of employees or prospective employees based on religion, or place heavier burdens on one gender over another. For example, an employer can't require an office worker to wear a uniform if they do not have any contact with customers. They also can't require employees to wear uniforms that are unsafe or that vi0late their privacy.
